Blastaar is a member of a race called the Balurrians, based in the Negative Zone. He ruled them for years as a brutal leader until they finally rose up and overthrew him, then sealed him up within a containment suit and set him adrift. It was only when the inhuman Triton braved the Negative Zone to save an adrift Mister Fantastic that the Explosive Belt around Earth revived Blastaar and he followed the pair through their portal and into the Baxter Building. There he met up with and joined the Sandman in order to take over Earth, but the Fantastic Four, with the help of Crystal, beat him and used one of Reed's inventions to shut off his powers, allowing them to return him to the Negative Zone.
Since then, Blastaar has tried to return to Earth and conquer it, but has been repulsed many times by various super heroes; including the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. While adventuring in the Negative Zone, the Fantastic Four have since run into Blastaar again on many occasions. Blastaar has also regained the throne of Baluur for himself, and then begun a conquest of the Negative Zone, which has been primarily kept in check by the interference of Blastaar's hated enemy, Annihilus.
Recently Blastaar has been seen in the positive universe in the company of the Spaceknights of Galador. Together they secretly fought Annihilus and his insectoid soldiers, which were known as the Annihilation Wave. Blastaar and the Spaceknights joined Nova and the United Front on the Kree planet of Canticus Prime, where they were able to defeat the forces of Annihilus.
Blastaar later appeared on the Kree Homeworld of Hala, where he led a Kree battalion against the techno-organic invaders known as the Phalanx. Blastaar fought valiantly but was stomped into the planet by a giant size member of the Phalanx. His fate is unknown at this time.

At number... How many is it now? Thirty-five? We're just plowing through this. Anyway, at thirty-five is Blastaar! Blastaar is from a planet in the Negative Zone, which he rules with an iron fist. Frequently a rival of Annihilus, who claims lordship over the Negative Zone in its entirety, Blastaar is a warlord who has also come into conflict with the empires of the Marvel Universe once Annihilus bridged the Zone with the positive matter universe. He was introduced as an enemy of the Fantastic Four, and he's generally a bit of a dud as a character. But I think there's a lot of potential for him to grow. He could easily be a Mongul-esque character at Marvel if a good writer gave it a shot #Blastaar#Annihilus#FantasticFour#WarofKings#MarvelComics#FiftyFavouriteMarvelVillains#DaySixteen

Captain Marvel obtained the Reality Stone and saw all the different outcomes that could of happened if she had chosen a different path. From the Civil War to her becoming an alcoholic. Also asking all of the Captain Marvels out there for advice defeating Blastaar.
To be honest I liked this issue, to see Captain Marvel in different realities and different outcomes is always cool. If you had the reality stone what would you do different? If you look at the page with all the different Captain Marvels there's one that looks like the one from the movie that's going to come out soon.(top right)
I haven’t worn this shirt since high school. The first Iron Man dropped in my junior year. Ten years later, and I’m seeing Infinity War. Many of my friends know I didn’t love all the films it took to get here. I’m very critical of each and every one, but it’s all out of love for the medium I grew up on. Regardless, it’s been a wild ride, and still pretty crazy to believe that all these films are even happening at all. Most of these characters here aren’t in the film, but it’s got Thanos, Gamora, Drax and Ronan on it. Back in 2008, I never would have believed they would get the film treatment, yet here we are. Nova in the center there is coming up, and it’s only a matter of time before the event depicted here, Annihilation, is adapted as well. To ten more years. #thanos#nova#silversurfer#annihilus#eradica#gamora#drax#quasar#moondragon#blastaar#ronan#superskrull#skreet#marvel#comics#andreadevito
#JackedKirby - Reed in the Negative Zone!!!
Back in Issue 61 Of the FF the team battled Sandman, and in an attempt to defeat him Reed open a portal to the Negative Zone. Unfortunately Sandman escaped and Reed himself became trapped... and the rest of the team was helpless to save him!
In #Issue62 from May of 1967 Jack decided to use one of his photo collages to illustrate the team looking at Reed in the Negative Zone on a big screen monitor at the Baxter Center. The screen was black and white (the photo collage part of the image) while the TV screen border is bright yellow and covered with minute Kirby Tech designs. The rest of the team appear in color accompanied by Crystal the Inhuman as they try to figure out a way to rescue Reed!!!
Crystal recruits another Inhuman, Triton, to use his uncanny “swimming” ability to make his way from the portal through the vast space of the Negative Zone and retrieve Reed. The plan works great... but an unknown entity named Blastaar the Living Bomb Bast (what a name!!!) follows them through the portal and makes his way back to earth!!!
Blastaar would go on to become the next villain the FF square off against. Kirby’s use of the collage in this issue is masterful... and it provides an interesting look into this different dimension that is supposed to be so different from our reality. Just another innovative touch from Jack... it’s all about the little things!!!
