❤️Last week for my birthday, I took a much needed (but budget friendly) vacation. 💛And let me tell you, it was the most amazing vacation I even did! 💛Dubai and Abu Dhabi were to die for! 😫😩😩😩 and on the way home we had a layover in Paris. 💛I couldn’t come to Paris again without visiting the Eiffel Tower before I left! 💛But, boy do these 💶 euros add up quickly! However, with some quick and careful financial planning, my trip from the airport to the Eiffel Tower was only about $9 (USD) round trip! Pretty nice visit for a layover. 🤗 .
I stayed in this room for longer than most. At both of the @teamlab_news exhibits in Tokyo, they had this gorgeous string light room that changed colors, immersed you in ethereal music straight out of a Hans Zimmer scored film, and mirrors on every surface. It felt magical to just be in this space and transport yourself to another planet just for a moment. In a world full of pop-ups that cause so much controversy for their presence, places like this are why I feel like they're needed. Most of us need to escape from reality sometimes and if you can get away from the gross outside world and step into a fantasy land for even just an hour, then that should be celebrated and appreciated ✨
Just found out I’m actually off New Year’s Eve ! As someone who’s only been flying a year in a half that’s a huge accomplishment. Now the travel bug has bit again and I’m debating where in the world should I spend the new year ? Should I spend it at the comforts of home or branch out and spend it somewhere new . I don’t know how to describe this feeling about 2019 but I just know it’s going to be a huge year for me ! 🙌🏾 #blackgirlstravel#travelblogger#travel#keywest#florida#flightattendantlife#travelgram#fun
All praises goes to The Most High God. I’m headed home. Dubai was absolutely divine. My Hotel 🏨 was everything, my flight ✈️ was everything, the experience was everything. #realtalk#blackgirlstravel#QueenYasmin
I laughed a lot the past two weeks of traveling to 7 cities. I spent time with stellar people and got to see some of my closest friends. I made unforgettable memories. Even though I’m exhausted, I’d do this all over again (after a few days of sleep 😅).
But now it’s time to get home, give thanks, and spend time with the little toddler (@kadynjustice) who calls me “daithy”.
Keep pushing, keep dreaming, keep exploring ✨
“I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.” ― Martha Washington
Good morning to you, good night to me!!! 🇱🇷
🇱🇷 My time in Cambodia 🇰🇭 is over.😢😢😢 I fell in love with this country and the people for many reasons.
1. This country resembles Liberia to the T. The difference is the people honesty.
2. I learned a lot about their history and got the chance to experience the culture first hand.
3. Similar to Liberia, in Cambodia the rich are RICH —-> The poor are POOR. I saw both world and it was just sad. How can the government let this happened? Idk but that’s the same economy in Liberia.
3. I was also privileged to meet one of the survivors from the Khmer Rouge prison during the civil war, the 70s. His story just touch my heart. At 9yrs old, he helped saved his brother and three children lives.
ALL THE GLORY TO GOD🙏🏾
