Lembrando aqui... Ano passado estivemos na Bahia, mas no sertão, em Canudos, onde tive o prazer de fotografar as araras-azuis-de-lear, espécie ameaçada de extinção e que hoje só é vista na natureza na caatinga baiana.

This is cool. A Black-throated Blue Warbler was caught (and released) by our bird tagging team on Block Island, RI. Why is this relevant to Maine? This bird originated in Maine (or potentially southern Canada). It was migrating from ME/CA through Block Island on its way likely to the Caribbean or potentially as far south as Panama. Another fun fact: this Blue Warbler is yellow because it's a female (males are blue). #conservemaine#migratorybirds
Say hello to these two little beauties! 😍🐦✨ Oystercatchers breed nearly on all UK coastlines and are very noisy, having a distinct (loud) ‘peep-ing’ call. They specialise in eating shellfish, mainly cockles and mussels, which they open by hammering with their strong bills!
I’ve been hearing these out my bedroom window for WEEKS now and I finally managed to spot them at the estuary where I live! Have to say one of my favourite wading species! Beautiful!😍😍😍
