Today’s episode of “Simone Finds An Interesting Dead Thing”. I found what I believe was a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk on the beach today with feet still in remarkable shape. I wonder what killed this poor thing before its prime; and worry it might have been poison. The use of rodenticide is the number one killer of raptors in North America and it’s pushing some species to the brink. If I can urge you to do one good thing today, it’s to tell everyone you know to stop putting out rat poison. There are other ways.
