Agrivilla guests and now part of the family Philip and Ini taking a piece of the i pini experience back home. Olive oil, handmade vine, freshly baked bread, tomato sauce, fresh organic vegetables from the garden and some seeds but mostly sunny, heartwarming memories.
We are very happy we could share experiences with you such as organizing a cooking class on Ini’s birthday, San Lorenzo night, garden walks and beautiful conversations. Thanks you two for being part of the i pini family ans we cannot wait to have you back.
Saying yes in a place as natural as it could be, surrounded by nature, where food is prepared with passion and love just according to your preferences. LA VIMEA is a place to create a true bonding, but also to spent your honeymoon. A place where the mind and body can find peace.
Cuidar el planeta es importante para nosotros, por eso te mostramos como puedes reutilizar las botellas de tus bebidas y dales nueva vida.
Botanika, our suite located on the ground level is a spacious place filled with hand chosen details from ancient tuscan times. Walls of chalk, floors of cotto, and furniture of pine trees. Handcrafted by people form the region. Since with a stay at the Agrivilla you not only sleep in a natural ambiance but also support the local community.
I mean, seriously, this is nuts. 🤪 Zoom in, it gets even better. This was the view from my room.
Have you ever seen a more perfect mountain view? It’s like the Mount Rushmore of the Dolomites, without the faces. 🙈🙉🙊 All big-browed and staring down upon you. Begging you to get all up in there.
I have a new post on my website of one of the best hotel views I’ve ever seen. The Hermitage Biohotel @biohotelhermitage in the Brenta region of the Italian Dolomites.
When you look up in the dictionary under “family-run hotel” the Hermitage could be the second definition. Not only does the family Maffei run the place, but they’ve been hosting people here in this remarkable location for generations, for years hiking up the steep valleys after the snow melt each summer and sleeping under the crazy stars.
First, it was a farmhouse with lots of rooms, no electricity or running water. Barbra, the current runner of the hotel, grew up here and said when she was a kid everyone would bathe in the stream running down the hill. Then the family added on more rooms, running water and made it a simple gasthaus B&B for years.
Years later, whip-smart, she was one of the first architects to graduate from university with a “bio-architecture” degree, and she re-designed the current hotel from scratch. The first eco-friendly hotel in the Madonna di Compiglio valley. It was her thesis, but since 1999 she’s been proving how viable eco-friendly can be. Nananananaaaah! #gottalovestrongwomen#roomwithaview
This range is really cool because in the summer you can take a gondola up and ramble along the high mountain trails that cut straight thru the top of this range, stopping at rifugi huts for lunch and a beer along the way before heading back down. At night you can see the twinkling lights of the isolated rifugi huts way up there, where you just hiked that day. And then have dinner in their amazing Michelin-starred white tablecloth restaurant at night. Nothing more rewarding. I went back for the second time last summer and it was even better the second time around. Can’t wait to go back next summer. (BTW: They just expanded their amazing spa this summer. So, go!)
May we present the Agrivilla tearoom. Filled with ancient furniture refurbished. This is the place where the breakfast buffet is placed everyday, but we also host events here. A space where guests can read a book with a cup coffee or glass of homemade wine.
