We got to our camp site way later than we should have Thursday night, then we attempted to take a bike ride on the rail trail from coopers, to the Brite spot ice cream shop on Friday.
We made it maybe a mile from camp and turned around to take dumb and dumber back to the van. They ran beside us for a while, because for some reason they didn't like riding in the tag along. Griz and his tiny legs couldn't quite keep up, Koda had a death wish and kept stopping short in front of the bikes.🤦
So they held down camp while we rode 8 miles there, for some mediocre at best cheese steaks and pizza, then 8 miles back. We enjoyed a fire and a bachelors firework show, kerrigan did NOT like the show at first when they finished he was pissed they were done lol.
We left Saturday morning with intentions of going somewhere else, until we met a MST through hiker and decided to make some trail magic happen.
Needless to say my camping urge was left unsatisfied.. We did have a pretty good day today though so it wasn't all that bad of a weekend.
Anyway thanks for reading this long ass recap.
Beltlining with my boys. When The Law and I closed on our home 12 years and one day ago, most people thought I was out of my mind when I would proclaim “The Beltline is real!” with all of the conviction and certainty that one would have if they were doing the work them self. Fortunately, my research has paid dividends in providing a space for my sons to grow and enjoy their city in a way that their transplant father can fully embrace with them. When I got to the A, I was one of the only cats on a pedal bike. If you don’t believe me, ask my cousin @t_butt1 #beltlineatl#beltline#atlantabeltline#fatherandsontime#sunday#sundayevening#cadence#bikeride#bikerides#makingpaths#familytime
