Finally a little bicep growth happening 🙏🏼
I used to hate training biceps. I could never lift a lot of weight with them or come close to keeping up with friends when training them. Being from a Soccer background leg day was fun as I already had a lot of strength there. Chest and triceps were also good but back and in particular biceps were defiantly my weakest points.
Fast forward a few years and overall everything evened out/ish. But I felt my biceps just wouldn't grow. Week after week I would just make up stupid excuses. That was until I broke everything down and assessed previous sessions. I realised that 1. I was lifting way too heavy without the best of form. 2. Sometimes I would cheat myself out of sets/reps & 3. I wasn't hitting them enough. So I began hitting arms 3 times per week. Used weights that I could handle and that actually made my arms burn. I started focusing on that muscle being worked throughout every part of the movement. Slowly slowly and they started growing a few inches. I wouldn't say I'm near my goal yet but I'm getting a lot closer. Sorry for the spill but I just wanted to say that it's FINE to make mistakes. But we need to learn from your mistakes 👈🏼 look at yourself 👀 are you actually lifting the weight? 🧐 Or is that mini squat you got going on helping you curl the bar? Are you skipping the sessions that you should probably be prioritising? If yes then you need to make a change to see improvements. It’s OK to drop the weight, even if that means your doing half of what the person next to you is doing. Just concentrate on form and most importantly the feeling of that muscle being activated. Give it some time and you’ll see your strength and gains start to rocket. I bet you you’ll start enjoying that muscle group just as you do any other gym day. Always strive to be better 👊🏼
