“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 ESV #biblejournaling#hiswordislife#bibleart
I went back to this verse when I tried applying the principle I learned from John Piper. I must resolve to myself never to read the bible without digesting it bit by bir, word per word. I went back and saw this verse, Your consolations cheer my soul." How freeing and delighting to be reading this in God's word again. I resolved to finish the entire ESV this year and thought it's disheartening to actually see my progress, I am still joyful that with nanayhood happening here and there, I am still closing in. #biblejournaling#biblejournalingph

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.
How often do we look to people to for approval and acceptance? How blessed are we to be loved unconditionally— perfectly imperfect with a purpose!
We are so much more than the number of likes and shares on social media. So much more than we can even imagine!
You are enough! BeYOUtiful!

I needed this today. I missed five assignments that are days past due, made a not so great grade on an annotated bibliography (why do I even need to know how to do that), and have been a bit of an emotional mess today. And it's only Tuesday. 🙃I'm just being honest. These things reminded me that I am so weak on my own. I can't do this college thing alone. Thankfully I don't have to do this alone. He has provided friends to lean on, His Spirit to guide me, and His word to remind me where my strength is from. He is stronger than my failures. He is greater than my insecurities. He has conquered over evil so I should trust that He has my life in His powerful, yet so tenderly loving Hands. I am so weak. I'm tired. But He carries me. I can't but He can. #truth#encouragement#biblejournaling#bibleverse#staystrong#yougotthis#watercolor#painting#lettering
No makeup in the world can make you look as beautiful as you do when you’re wearing God’s Word. So often we have this quote confused and we believe the more makeup we pile on our faces the more beautiful we will be. We pile the makeup on and yes we look beautiful but our inner self is just the opposite. It’s neglected and forgotten. We’re so busy picking up our makeup brushes that we forget that our inner self needs to be made up daily with the Word of God. Look at God’s Word as a timeless book of love written by the lover of our souls to encourage us, give us life, guide our steps, and beautify us. It’s not just something that was written thousands of years ago. His Word wasn’t just meant to sit on your night stand but it is meant to be applied so it can transform us into the beautiful creations God has called and destined for us to be. .

For as many as 1 in 4 women in the United States, a past abortion is a secret kept locked away in the hidden recesses of their souls. A secret that quietly eats away at the regretful woman’s heart every day. Today, I’m joined by Gwen Smith, singer, songwriter and author of “Broken into Beautiful,” as she shares her testimony of how she found healing after abortion.

I’ve always told it how it is, whether the time was right or the other party was ready to hear. I use to think as long as I was telling the truth and keeping it real, “what is the problem?” Over the last two years God has had to shut me up and slow me down, in order to understand love. Don’t hold your breath.... I’m still keeping it real, and delivering truth whether their ready or not! This time around though I’m only speaking when God leads me, or giving a little bit of good first then the tough stuff follows. That’s love.
If I’m honest, it hasn’t been easy, and trust me I wish I could be like other women, shy and timid; soft spoken and quiet. I’ve lost a-lot of friends, I Burnt some bridges, people think they know me, they describe me with negative undertones: words like aggressive or intense, some even felt my personality type, was not that of Christ.
When really I’m what most people need in their corner.
I give the best advice, I’m giving, supportive, loyal, can share your pain then find the solution, I’m loving and mindful, I give amazing gifts, I’m always praying and will go to bat for those I love!
So, like any Dad, Jesus assured me that my personality was attached to my purpose! I was created to lead people to the deeper findings of God, Themselves and where they are one. Speaking Truth with fresh perspectives from God ain’t never been easy for no man! So being shy, or timid or quiet and becoming something I’m not makes it pretty impossible to be used in this way. I ain’t got all figured out, I’m actually hesitant every now and again. But God...
If your like me and have allowed the world around, to create a narrative about you that isn’t real. That was then, this is now! God has not given us a spirit of fear or comparison. He has actually called us to be BOLD & COURAGEOUS! People don’t have a Heaven or a Hell to put you in, so don’t allow their opinions to manifest in your life. A persons perception is just that! The Holy Spirit will always lead you & seeing the fruit of you living in purpose will help you overcome this 🌿
✨This verse is so very important to me!✨ It has been my focus over the past few weeks and I can see such a change in my thoughts and actions! I am slowly becoming less reactive and I take the time needed to form a heartfelt and considerate response. Some days are definitely more trying, some days this prayer is on repeat in my head, but God is molding me! #findyourfocus#Godisgood#Godislove#biblejournaling#faith#prayer#faithjournal
One of the greatest gifts coaching has given me is meeting women from ALL over...this sweet soul and fit sister is from Canada. The first time I met her, we were both on our free trip in Punta Cana. Watching her journey as also been an incredible blessing.
Here is what she had to say about it: “This journey has not been a straight line! I’ve had highs and lows! I’ve been through super stressful situations, emotional eating and wanted to give up at times! The biggest thing for me was not focusing on the scale! I know the scale does not define me and my hard work! My journey has proven to me that I’m capable of so many things! It has allowed me to feel confident in my bikini, to fit on rides at the theme park, to feel good and not winded when I’m playing with the kids! I ultimately got my life back! I don’t get constant migraines anymore, I’m not tired every day, I finally feel human! I got my confidence back and there is no stopping me now 🙂 I am human. I have my set backs but I don’t let one bad day turn into a bad week, month or year anymore!”
Anita, you are such an inspiration to all of us and seeing all of your success this year has been so amazing to watch. 2019 is already starting off pretty insane for you with your free trip to LA for being such a leader for your team 😍
Congratulations on all you have done and all you will no doubt do. This is literally just the beginning for you sister!! Love you dearly!! 💗
Recomece. Enquanto há vida, nunca é tarde demais. 🌸 . “Até os anos gastos numa vida ímpia podem ser restaurados. Confie em Deus para remover a dor, a desesperança, o endurecimento e a falta de perdão. Tenha fé na habilidade divina de ressuscitar o amor e a vida. Compreenda que o Senhor deseja restaurar o que foi perdido, para que você saiba que Ele é Deus.” 🧡 . "With what shall I come before the Lord , and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?" He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
