Hands and arms are aching from assembling these but won't have it any other way because that means I am back at my happy place, doing what I love, and brimming with excitement as I
am almost done with the new designs for you.
These would all have been done way earlier but well, that's just how real life is--nothing goes as planned. Because in the midst of prepping the new pieces, completing pending orders, preparing for my sister-in-law's and her husband's visit (and going on a trip with them and the whole fam + spending a day or two getting a "vacation" from vacation), we had some improvements done at the workspace I'm sharing with my husband + a major clean-up after, and I got sick for about 2 weeks. And then a day after we left for that family trip, Hippo, our 9-year old dog, passed away. It was a day after his birthday. He was okay when we left--no illness or pain. He was just his usual sleepy self. We promised him that we would celebrate when we get back but he didn't wait. We never got to say goodbye.
More than 3 weeks has passed since Hippo left us and the cloud of grief continue to hover above us. There were days when we really had to push ourselves to work because we miss him. But life must go on, as they say but our house, and our hearts will never be the same again.
