About last nights post.... what am I implementing into my everyday, my home and lifestyle?
ELEMENTS OF MINIMALISM!
I borrowed this book from @moderatemonday yesterday and before I even started reading it I purged about half of my closet.
I have found my style not only when it comes to my home but also my wardrobe. I like simple, I like Neutrals and I like pieces I can easily mix + match.
@moderatemonday did an incredible blog post about this last week and it really is a good read and very inspiring. I’ve been wanting to do this but never actually did it. So, I am starting with my closet and I will take you on my journey and as I get through this book 🙌🏼 it was so easy for me to get rid of most of these clothes because I have always known I was over them. Whether it be because they are low quality, too colorful for my liking or because they don’t fit right. It’s crazy how easy something can be when you actually decide to make the change.
I can turn this little cozy coffee shop in to my office space for the day if I wanted to. I and guess what? It will happen soon. Because soon I’ll be in charge of my own schedule of work and run my own business from anywhere. Watch out #BossLadyIntown ☕️ 😜
It’s no secret that Fall is the busiest time of year for photographers. I mean, it is the best season. 🍁🍂👢But also, my kids’ school wedges a 10 day long Fall break right in the middle of October. 😳 So even though I have been intentional on not taking on tons of sessions this Fall, work is stacked up a mile high, and we take a week long vacation down to Florida. I ran a Half Marathon on Cocoa Beach, we did Epcot and 2 days of Universal Studios. My feet have never hurt so much in my life. We all catch some sort of bug after we got home. And, as I am trying to balance being all the things to my kids, I have a million photos waiting for me. 🙈I have sessions plus the thousands of photos I took on our trip that I’m dying to tear into. And as I am off to two more sessions today on the first day the kids go back to school, I just not so secretly only want to lock myself away with my laptop and process the millions of images in my queue that I am really excited about. Anyway that’s all. Just random crazy photographer thoughts. #tryingtobreathe#photographerlife
It’s Tuesday... the busiest day of our week. We have school and then the girls have dance classes in the afternoon. This is my day ✌🏻 outfit for the #10x10challenge I’m doing. I shared a video of this outfit in my stories. I probably won’t post my outfits here anymore, so if you want to follow along... make sure you visit my stories!!
When your clients want to do their session in the empty movie theater you embrace it! This was probably one of the most unique sessions I've ever done, and I loved it! Also, I know more about how movie theaters work now that I ever imagined 😉
Sometimes you just have to embrace the moment whatever it is. That’s one of my favorite parts if it’s artistically and as a mama- just accepting whatever happens...the spirit of your family, the individual personalities of your children...we will stop and smile at the camera, but oh my goodness this is the good stuff.
I know it’s been a while ladies and gents... don’t hate me. The busy season for me has begun and making sure clients are happy is number one. Can’t wait to work with you all these next few months! Look out for more emails from me :)
It’s totally normal to want to take the newborn baby you’ve just photographed home with you, right?! ⠀
I build in extra time to every one of my newborn sessions to allow for crying and feeding and winding and more crying and nappy changing and more crying (so if you’re booked in for a newborn session with me don’t stress about it in any way), but I’m pretty sure this guy didn’t cry once. Absolute dream baby. @jessbeekink long may it continue for you!

Ayubowan dallo Sri Lanka a tutti! ☀️🌴🌊
With a Lot of Love 💛 - #likemiljian
❤️Sometimes you don’t even need to see faces to see the joy, the peace, and that feeling of “home” you get when you’re with people you love. It’s those little things, holding hands, kiddo running like crazy in front, just enjoying life together in a park.. those things are the moments that matter most because they are uncomplicated. Whole. Pure.
Friends, THIS is what family feels like.
I’ve always had the mindset that I wanted change in my life. That I wanted a different path for myself and then for my boys when they were born. It wasn’t until recently that I realized I deserve the the good things that are coming into my life. Up until recently I would anticipate negative things. I created such a negative energy vibe around me, that it had negative impacts on my life. Sure good things would happen but I’d always be thinking about what bad thing is lurking around the corner. Most of this was because I didn’t truly believe that I deserved these good things. I’ve been really focusing on the good things and realizing that I do deserve these good things and it has created this wonderful amazing positive energy around me, that I anticipate the next good thing. So go put positive vibes into the world and surround yourself with those that create those vibes too.
