How productive was your Sunday??? Did you spend the day getting a jumpstart on the work week 📝🗂🖊? Hitting the gym 🏋🏼♀️💪🏼? Making memories with family and friends 👫🏟🏖? Or did you have a productive day of REST 🧘🏼♀️💤💆🏼♀️? That’s right I said it, REST IS PRODUCTIVE!
Let’s not forget that we use our bodies and brains every minute of every day. So, taking time every week, whether it’s an entire Sunday or one hour every night before you go to sleep, to let our bodies and brains relax is crucial for our mental AND physical health.
Today was a combination of rest and work today at Health and Happiness as I prepared for a week to help reset and refocus any and all of you who are ready to start your journey to health AND happiness.
The day started with a motivational meeting with a client as she prepares to start Day 1️⃣ of a 21 day cleanse tomorrow. You go girl 🙌🏼! Followed by some program prep! I have 2 awesome programs in the works that will be ready to launch before you know it. One is “Healthy Living for Young DANCERS!” and the second is “Does Menopause Mean Weight Gain???” Stayed tuned for updates in the coming weeks!
Mixed in with all of that was some ME TIME. Church, some reading, a short walk, and of course, some snuggles with my dog 🐶 all helped me rest, relax, reset, and refocus before the week to come.
I challenge all of you to reset and refocus this week by finding time to let your bodies and brains rest and relax!

Four and a half years ago, Noah and I packed up and moved to what was a whole new little world to us. I don’t care who you are or where you’re going, how all that pans out is, in some ways, a total roll of the dice. But since day one, we somehow legit hit the jackpot in finding the best friends for Noah to grow up with. Total score for us too, their parents are a blast to hang with and watch our kids grow together. So grateful for good friends all around. So many memories already made and so many more ahead! Today was a good day. 💗

Would you believe me if I told you that after just 3 weeks of ReelRobics classes, ALL of my dancers complete a full 'show' routine over 4 and a half minutes long? I've taught literally hundreds of beginners and former dancers alike to achieve this. The immense pride they have when it's over, "Wow that was quick, it didn't even feel like a minute!" "I had so much fun, it didn't feel like a workout!" And my favourite, "I felt like I was in Riverdance"
And therein I discovered my why! My idea, all those years ago, had been to produce an Irish dance workout, in a fun and friendly environment. Yet it wasn't until I'd witnessed first-hand, both pride and relief of completing a brand new choreographed routine, the look of joy on the dancers faces, I knew we had something special. It's my job, as ReelRobics creator, to make you feel like a dancer, regardless of your experience, background, age or gender. If your GP declares you safe for exercise you WILL be a dancer if that's what you wish to be! Will you look like the next Jean Butler or Joanne Doyle if you start ReelRobics? Probably not. I'm not even saying you'll dance anything close to the perfection of Riverdance. Jeez, after 3 kids, I don't even dance like that myself anymore!
You WILL, however, feel a great sense of self satisfaction teamed with lots of sweat and the endorphins will be rushing. You'll feel like a member of a team. A team of like minded women and men, coming together, with a love for Irish dance, fitness, or simply wanting to dance their cares away.
