I did NOT want to work out today, but this month in my challenge grou we have been focusing on overcoming our excuses, and I knew I owed it to myself and the ladies in my group to suck it up, and JUST DO IT!
You truly never regret doing something good for yourself. But.... You will always feel guilty for letting others down and if you're honest you'll feel guilty over the promise you broke to yourself when you slack off.
That's what helps me on days when I'm frustrated and struggling to do what I should... I remember my group, and the personal goals I have. I have learned to truly value myself and the goals I have arent going to just happen if I dont do the work.
Take my advice: push yourself up off your couch, out of bed, etc and do 1 thing today to move closer towards your goals! ❤

It's been about a year (to the day almost!) Since I snapped that photo on the left. I was 2 weeks post partum, and feeling super good about my body and how strong I was feeling after my unexpected c-section, and I was surprised how fast my body had gone back to my pre-pregnancy weight and look..... Surprised, and grateful but definitely not satisfied or willing to stay that way for long. .
The picture on the right was taken today, and although it's not a perfect side by side due to different outfits, hair style, lack of make up, etc..... I'm pretty dang excited about the changes I see not just physically (which I'll level with you. They could be better...) but I remember how it felt to be the girl on the left, who was this mixed bag of emotions and hormones, who was proud in some ways but still ashamed in others of how much I'd lost control of my health.
Now.... the girl on the right is feeling sexy like.... 87.9% of the time, and has only 10% shame about not being more toned or better with her nutrition. The girl on the right is in a much better place emotionally and is never going back to being that girl on the left.
The next 3 pics are about a month apart, and I own the fact that there's not some "major" changes, because my nutrition hasn't been that awesome.... but! I have lost 7 more lbs in the last 6 weeks, and I dont hate myself for not doing better. Im proud of the work I do and the mindful habits I have learned over this past year and I'm thankful for where i'm at, and i'm even more excited for where I'm going!

Guys. I did it. I survived my first game back at the scene of the crime; the field that robbed me of 22 months of ⚽️. But know what this field gave me? My life back. I thought I wasn’t in bad shape before when really I had trouble lasting 2 minutes on the field. It gave me 22 months (okay the last 10 really) to get my 💩 in order; to get in the best shape of my adult life. I’m nowhere near my goal, but I’m better than yesterday.
Know what it also gave me? This new mindset. I won’t lie and tell you that I didn’t freak out a few times today at the thought of tonight’s game. But I showed up; I played through the 🤯 games; I chose to look at the ✅ it gave me instead of focusing entirely on the ❌. That’s the best part of this journey I’m on; that you’re surrounded by people with the same mindset as you; people who are trying their hardest to think ➕more than ➖. Know what? 🚨🚨Directions: 30 Day No Sugar Challenge🚨🚨
1️⃣ No Sugar .
Obvious Foods To Cut: cake, brownies, cupcakes, ice cream, doughnuts, soda, pastries, etc. .
Not So Obvious Foods To Cut: most ketchup, most bbq sauce, salad dressings, energy bars, granola bars, fruit juice concentrate, most peanut butter, etc. .
Other Exclusions: no foods with white flour (pastas & breads), pineapple, kiwi, mango, grapes, ripe bananas, or any other tropical fruit. .
How to make it #simple : eat vegetables, meats, eggs, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and a little bit of plain dairy (cheddar cheese, plain Greek yogurt). For fruit, stick to berries and apples. .
Warning‼️: Be sure to stay away from artificial sweeteners as well. Two recent studies have found that beverages containing sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame potassium (Sunett, Sweet One) increased insulin levels. Results suggest that artificial sweeteners may potentially have some of the same negative effects on insulin and weight as #sugar does. .
