The Medicine Wheel, sometimes known as the Sacred Hoop, has been used by generations of various Native American tribes for health and healing. It embodies the Four Directions, Earth, Air, Fire and Water as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree—all of which symbolize dimensions of health and the cycles of life.
From my Medicine Wheel perspective, the Summer Solstice is one of the cross winds of the Medicine Wheel, June 21. The cross winds can be uncomfortable like growing pains. As we begin our turn toward the South, the Summer Solstice helps us to prepare for the rapid growth in the warmth of the summer. This part of the Medicine Wheel also represents the move from older adolescence to young adulthood. Young adulthood is where we are just beginning to expand our life experiences. At the Summer Solstice, we also begin the change of elements from air to fire. The element of Air is the element of the East. The element of Fire represents the direction of the South. Both the Summer and Winter Solstices are the change of elemental forces, thus the growing pains. From a feng shui perspective the element of the East, Air, feeds the element of the South, Fire. This is called a nurturing cycle.
We need to consciously remember that the energies of the Summer Solstice are where we have a moment to prepare to experience balanced male/female energies. We have the opportunity to use the energy of nature to experience this balance through ceremony and the Summer Solstice just before we are immersed in the Summer’s hot energies.
Ceremony is a way to impress on our conscious selves that Spirit lives through us.I would like to encourage you to send a prayer in your own way to ask for the opportunity to feel and know the balance of your male/female energies, gracefully and easily. Ask the Creator and your other Spirit guides to help you to Be this balance of yin/yang as you enjoy the rest of the summer.

TIME CHECK: 12:45am....Same early morning grind, different day... ✔️IMPACT PRE-WORKOUT: For focus (plus to wake me up on the rough days....this never gets easy).... ✔️DAVID SILER’S DISTINCTIVE HR LEARNING SYSTEM: It’s fire 🔥....I haven’t listened to anything but this dude for months now. Last time I listened to the radio, Deion Sanders “Must Be the Money” was a hit song.....YEAH I SAID IT‼️.....it was though 😂 PHR exam in 32 days, 22 Hours, 21 minutes....whose counting though 🤷🏾♂️ ✔️FOAM ROLLER/MAT: I’m old....I have to stretch before I can even blink these...
