Happiness is a state of mind. ✨ Today is coming to an end and tomorrow is just around the corner. I love how we have so many opportunities for self improvement every minute of everyday. Tomorrow my goal is to eat healthier then today, love more then I did today, and give thanks for all I have. Setting minor goals for the day ahead gives me more awareness and appreciation for the minor things. There will always be things we need to work and that’s the beauty of life, we continue to evolve and make better choices for our mind, body and spirit.

The #custard -based, Diplomat #Pudding was a staple at Budapest's circa 1958 cafe Gerbeaud. This homey riff by @edesem swaps lady fingers for mini madeleines and candied fruit instead of raisins. It's a modern twist on old world decadence.
Carbohydrating with Blueberry Waffles @xystnyc . With BB Compote, Vanilla Gelato, and Mint Cashew Cream Nice mix of flavors & textures....and the presentation 😲 I'd personally prefer fresh BBs instead of compote, but those w extra sweet teeth might disagree 🍬
Friday’s are for staying up late playing dbd (dead by daylight) with my best friend from England land, till all sorts of crazy times at night, till it’s no longer night. Saturday’s is for Smith & to you you that know, Smithday. CHOCOLATE + SALTY CARAMEL + PRETZELS = PRETZEL ELEGANZA!! As @jacquelinesansonetti says so, and Jacqui is always right. Please someone seriously hook me up to this shit, shove a drip into me.💉 NO BODY CALLS ME CHICKEN SALAD ( TOASTED, ADDED CHEESY GOODNESS & AIOLI) + PESCI PESTO + CROISSANT OF EASTWICK + GARLIC BREAD PRETZEL. This is the reason I get out of bed, to go to my favourite place, to see my favourite people, to eat the best damn food in the entire world. No matter what hole or void that my heart is missing, Smith feels it every time. Besides the amazing food, just the most wonderful, caring, beautiful, amazing kind souls are there. (Have I mentioned this is where they keep the best people with the best smiles). I’m lucky enough to be able to go to my happy place once a week. And thank you guys for being the greatest people I know, your messages mean everything to me, all your comments all your loveliness!! Milo & I will always be waiting for you to have a smithyy picnic extravaganza!!!
Obsessed with these dried peaches that I found. They aren’t overly sweet and add a delicious chewy texture to any smoothie bowl 🙌🏻. To be honest though I don’t even know what’s in this bowl but it was delicious, definitely banana, some strawberry ends, cantaloupe and lots more. I just chucked a variety of frozen fruit into the blender. I do this pretty often and it always turns out delicious 😍.
yes, i had to have this vegan “cookie monster” ice cream flavor just because it was bright blue. but can you blame me? it was so delicious and so much fun to turn both my tongue and lips bright blue! 💙
If you find yourself out in nature a lot (hello amazing HK hiking trails 🌳🍃👋) you yourself don't really want to be on the menu for the mozzies.
I find myself slightly allergic to their bites, and also now allergic to many repellents (oh the irony).
So this organic, cruelty free product is a winner for me at the moment. Found in Just Green!

This is my work lunch that I prepped for tomorrow! I love to use the Asian salad mix kits from the grocery store and jazz it up with adding stuff to it! I added tofu and green onions to this. I also like to make my own oil free dressing instead of using the dressing in the kit. I usually make one with tahini (or almond or peanut butter), coconut aminos, garlic powder, ginger powder, and a little bit of water to thin it out! Sometimes I add crushed red pepper as well! 🌱

Vegan kuku sabzi or vegan herbs pan cake. One of the most popular variations is Kuku Sabzi (Persian: کوکوسبزی, fresh-herb kuku), flavored with some combination of herbs and leafy vegetables (e.g. scallions, parsley, chives, coriander, dill, spinach, lettuce, fenugreek leaves) and tinted a deep green. This dish is often served at Persian New Year (Nowruz) and has been associated with a food you would bring to Sizdeh Bedar picnic (the 13th day of Persian New Year, marks the end of the holiday often celebrated with an outdoor picnic). For this recipe instead of egg I used flaxseed and chickpea flour. #vegans#veganism#vegansofinstagram#veganville#vegetarian#govegan#crueltyfree#plantstrong#veganfoodporn#vegansofig#whatvyeganseat#foodstagram#vegansofig#veganfood#bestofvegan#Persianfood#persianvegan#iranianfood 🌱
Arginine amino acid as a Growth Hormone.
Besides being involved in protein creation, arginine is also a growth hormone. Its success as a growth hormone stimulator.
Animal sources aren’t the only way to get protein and arginine. One cup of pumpkin seeds has almost 7 grams.
1) Pumpkin seeds are also a great source of the minerals iron and zinc. Try adding them as a crunchy salad topping or as part of a trail mix. Make sure you soak them before consuming for better digestion.
One cup of roasted soybeans has 4.6 grams of arginine.
2) Soybeans are also a great source of the minerals potassium and magnesium. Try them as a healthy snack alternative. Can also try tempeh - my favourite.
3) Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that grows in the sea. It’s often bought as a powder and used to add extra nutrients to smoothies. One cup of spirulina has 4.6 grams of arginine along with high amounts of calcium, iron, potassium, and niacin. However, for smoothie recipes you’re more likely to use a tablespoon of spirulina, which would put the arginine count at 0.28 grams.
4) Chickpeas, or garbanzo beans, are a great way to get protein and fiber, especially if you don’t eat meat. One cup of cooked chickpeas contains 1.3 grams of arginine, 14.5 grams of protein, and 12.5 grams of dietary fiber. I’m currently sporting some chickpeas for Monday.
5) Lentils are another healthy plant source of fiber and protein. It’s not surprising that you’ll find arginine in them too: about 1.3 grams per cup. One cup of lentils also contains 63 percent of your daily dietary fiber requirement. Try these delicious lentils recipes.
SLOW LIVING:: Crusty, gluten free and vegan sourdough baguette slathered in fluffy creamy waves of garlic sauce. Topped with layers and layers of roasted organic veggies. Simple, slow. And radiantly beautiful. This is what it’s all about. Taking it slow. Allowing the kitchen to be filled with the aromatic roasting of veggies and herbs. Cuddling up this Friday to write and create, while listening to the puppies snore and the crickets sing. Healing is coming. Slowly. Slowly. ✨
