Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures and kill nothing but time.
Have you ever thought about your impact on the Earth? The little things like how long your shower was or the amount of plastic sitting in your kitchen? As I take the time to do things that are good for my soul I'm beginning to realise the impact us humans have on the earth at the same time. I know you've probably all heard it but by taking the time to say no to a plastic bag you're one step closer to stopping the circulation of plastic reaching our oceans or by eating more plants you're helping purifying our air. Becoming more mindful about this should become a habit. We can be ignorant without even thinking... let's learn to be part of the solution not part of the pollution... You may be one person but by the time we all get into this frame of mind our earth will be more beautiful by tomorrow 💛
P.S. video from this adventure coming soon, watch this space!
I don't think I could ever quite describe this experience; how it really felt. Driving out to the Coramandel in the middle of the night with six people I had never met before, I was nervous and excited. Hiking through the dark, a 3 hour incline with a spastic torch barely lighting the way, it was exhausting; and as the light on the horizon lit up the sky a dark red, I almost gave up, I didn't think I would make it to the top, it looked so far away, my body had already given up and the sun was rising and I was falling, actually crawling if I'm being honest, up the steps that stood high above me. Some sort of determination came from somewhere inside me and I hauled myself up to the top of the Pinnacles, never have I ever felt such a sense of achievement. The view was incredible, the fog was rolling over the hills in the distance and the sky was coloured pink and yellow and orange. The past struggle getting to this point was instantly forgotten. This was probably the most physically challenging experience I have so far done in my life and I wouldn't hesitate to do something like this again. The outcome of hard work is so much more rewarding, especially with views like this and such a perfect sunrise.
#Faith When I was in New Zealand I witnessed a rare weather phenomenon which definitely was unlike anything I have ever seen before. This is a fog bow or white rainbow as it is sometimes called. It is similar to a rainbow, however as the name suggests it only appears in the fog. The rain droplets that cause fog need to be smaller than 0.05 millimetres for it to occur, they usually only have very weak colours with a red outer edge and a bluish arc 🌈🌲@earthfocus @wilderness_culture @fantastic_earth @theglobewanderer @tree_magic @tree_captures @tentree

This amazing photo was taken by our very own Leslie Preston, the Founder of Bachcare! Snapped just the other day when she was down in the beautiful Southern Lakes region. Almost looks too good to be true! <3 | #bachcare#happyplace

🇦🇺 - This view... meeting point between the wild sea and an untouched land.. what else do you need to have a good day ? May be to have enough time to stay and to be able to see the sunset lights in action 😊. |
