Nice little 5 mile bike ride with the boys!!! There is something about being at the beach that makes me want to be equally as active as I am a lazy beach bum!! 😎
My hubby joins a gym for the week each year, and I have been able to crush my 30 minute at home workouts here at the beach house either while MJ is still sleeping or while he’s here eating breakfast!
We walk thousands of steps each day- to the beach and back, to the boardwalk, up and down the boardwalk and back again! And we use other free time opportunities to do things like biking and taking MJ to the playground!
My new goal is to carryover this type of activity into our every day lives once vacation is over!!🚴🏻♀️ It feels so good to be active and sets a positive tone for the day!

Dig for victory! 🥕🥕🥕 Don’t panic this isn’t a call to arms...we’ll not in the original sense anyway... Repeated studies have shown just how beneficial exercising in the open air can be. From being surrounded by the calming 🌈 environment of the great outdoors 🌳 to a reduction in depression and anxiety and a greater enjoyment of the exercise being done 🏃🏻♀️, all the evidence supports heading outdoors for your workout.
We also know that we should be eating more, and varied fruits and vegetables 🌽 🍇🥦🥒🥕🍠🍎🍊🍑🍒Eating at least 5 x 80g portions a day may seem like a lot but what if you’d grown it yourself?! What better than combining fitness, fresh air and FOOD by growing your own! This little beauty is coming on nicely despite my teeny tiny raised bed and the relentless sunshine ☀️ and lack of rain 🌧 and although this particular veg needs no digging you get my drift!
Leading a more active life is just as important as exercising more. Walk 🚶🏼♀️where you can, always take the stairs and start a veg patch to get some gardening action into your week as well.
