People say all the time that becoming a mother changes things for them- as a mumma herself, FAE & WILDLING director Soph is more aligned than ever with the honest, natural ethos that this business stands on x
There is a slowness in nature that exudes majestic peacefulness. There is clarity here. We have so much to learn from our Mother Gaia; living slowly perhaps the more important lesson our generation can learn. Take the time to notice the precision and the abundance held within slowness. There is no lack there. Be still. Be slow. Move with mindfulness. This is where we can learn to connect once more.
Thursday Thoughts...Gratitude!!!🌈💜🌟😊. What are the 5 things YOU are grateful for today? A close friendship? The ability to walk? Or the smell of fresh coffee?
Every day we’re confronted with things we’re told we ought to want...an advert for a car or a perfect-looking life of someone on social media - it all underlines what we don’t have now! Taking stock of what we DO have now can help us refocus on the POSITIVES in our lives and helps give some perspective.
#gratitude is like a muscle- the more you use it, the more it becomes stronger and the more power it has on your life perspective. The miracle of gratitude is that it shifts your perception to such an extent that it changes the world you see in a very positive way. Practise gratitude! Happy Thoughtful Thursday! 😊💜🌈
DO YOU LIKE THIS TALE?
For me, there's comfort in knowing the feelings of the 'evil' wolf are a normal part of being human, they show up in all of us at different times.
I believe that rather than deny, avoid, feel bad about, stay stuck in or fuse to the 'evil', we just need to feed them in a more effective way.
As a start, we can learn to notice and acknowledge their presence, it can help reduce their intensity. Maybe then, allow the space for the feelings to come and go as they please 😊
I know it’s not easy to catch the ‘evil’ in the heat of the moment but like anything, can get better with practice!
There is Beauty in Simplicity ...
The first time I heard that phrase, I probably brushed it off as a group of words that someone thought sounded good together. With the passing years, I have come to appreciate how the word simple is a code word for filtering out the noise in life.
Take time for simple pleasures -- the beauty lies in the details. Here are three simple things to help mute out the chaos and bring more beauty into your life:
~ grow your own flowers or pick some up at your local market,
~ drink your morning coffee or eat breakfast outdoors. ~ take a walk in your neighborhood and take in your surroundings.
Simple things, like the little things are sometimes the most important and beautiful things. Don't miss them.
-WHAT'S WITH BALANCE?-
On social media you see a lot about living with 'balance'. I am all for a more balance life where you don't live to work but work to live. However sometimes I think the impression given is that you should be trying to live in perfect balance all the time. With this as the goal many will feel like they're never going to get there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To me, if striving for balance leads you to feel dissatisfied with where you are at then you are trying too hard. Balance should be about making the choices moment by moment which lead to positive long term & short term outcomes. Sometimes you may need to make the decision to take on more work so that your career will benefit in the long term and sometimes you may need to make the decision to turn down some work because the cost will be to your energy & mental wellbeing in the short term.
Balance to me is not about feeling like all things are in equilibrium every minute of every day. Instead your life will often be in a state a flux between busy-restful, happy-sad, social-alone etc etc. Trying to achieve perfect balance in all aspects all the time is impossible but making positive moment-to-moment decisions based on understanding what your state of wellbeing is is well within anyone's reach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you find yourself struggling to decide what to do for the best I recommend that you start thinking in energy transactions- i.e. it will take *** amount of energy to do this & it will give *** amount of energy back. You may find that when you weigh up decisions using this energy output-input approach it becomes clearer what the best course of action is.
Be Careful what you wish for, For it may just come true.
Be careful who you trust, And who you open up to.
Be Mindful of your actions, And words you can't take back.
Choose your options carefully, Don't always be on the attack.
Be Thankful for what you have, And the people that care.
Don't take them all for granted, One day they may not be there.
Be Wary of fake promises, As not everyone is true.
Never change to please others, Let them see the real you.
Be Grateful for a new day, Some people won't get to share.
Don't take others for granted, Take time to show you care.
Be Hopeful for the future, Even if it's bleak right now.
Life has a way of showing you, That you'll make it through somehow.
Always listen to your heart. What is it telling you? Are you happy, sad, conflicted? Do you live in alignment with your values? Do you spend your day on something you love or are you wasting your precious energy on someone elses dream? Is your brain telling you that everything is fine when it is not?
Take a quiet moment for yourself. Use it to listen. Listen deeply.
If something is not as it should be, empower yourself to take action and correct your path to align with your heart. The brain may try to send you signals that this is dangerous and risky, but I tell you, if you have a happy heart you will have a happy life. 🙏🏻
Tie up all expectations and future outcomes in a bag and throw it out the window. Do what you want and what feels right in the moment and what will be will be. -
IT'S LIBERATING!! -
Turn future expectations you have of others and yourself and turn it into appreciation for what is happening for you now, presently. 🙏
Let go of the illusion of control. You can control yourself and that’s about it. No amount of logic or preparation is going to guarantee the result you are stuck on receiving.
Some warning signs that control is taking over your life: you feel lost and lack clarity because you’re holding tight onto something that your soul has already told you isn’t meant for you, you’re finding yourself in the same space over and over again and you can’t figure out why (hint: it’s because you’re doing the same thing trying to force an outcome that isn’t meant for you in this moment), you feel frustrated and you experience lack quite often because things just aren’t turning out the way you expected, or you haven’t received what you were asking for.
Instead of trying to control (which comes from ego brain), practice these three things:
1) be in the moment. Be truly present to yourself, your body and what your intuitive sense is communicating with you. Act on your intuition and the desires of your heart.
2) open yourself up by practicing curiosity. There are no absolute answers, only questions to continue unpacking. There is no arrival, only exploration. Allow yourself to adventure within your heart and soul. Open to yourself like you would to a lover, really getting to know each inch of who you are.
3) Create your vision, but don’t attach to the outcome and details of how the vision will arrive and when. Allow the space for your vision to expand and shift as you do, because inevitably with growth, things change. That takes you back to step #1 ;-) When you allow for the natural winding of the path, instead of forcing that path to be straight, you create more ease and joy on the journey. Let go. You can’t control it anyway. But you can control how you are with it. And that makes all the difference. 📸: @raescottphoto
Sweet tooth? 🍨🍪🍫🍰
Try these energy bites on for size.
1/2 scoop Chocolate and 1/2 scoop Vanilla protein powder (I use @shakeology)
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup raw honey
1 cup natural peanut butter
Add some chocolate chips, mix ingredients together and roll into balls. You can keep them cold in the fridge, but they won't last long! 😍

A little midweek reminder that your practice off the mat is just as important. No matter your choice of exercise, yogi or not, make sure you are properly nourishing your body, mind, and spirit daily. Drink more water. Sit up straight, even though it takes more effort. Breathe deeply. Deep breaths are like little love notes to your body. Stay present. Be grateful. Spread love—as far, and as wide, as you possibly can. Be mindful of your actions, and enjoy the simple things in life. If you do this, I can promise, when you’re old and you look back, you won’t regret a single thing. 🙏🏻
