One year ago today we set off on our world adventure. We have had the most amazing time seeing new places, enjoying new experiences, meeting some great people. We have been lucky to have spent time with our overseas friends in USA, Canada, Berlin, Switzerland, Wales & England. Thank you all for your amazing hospitality. We have had a couple of visits from friends at home which is always very special & exciting. Everyday day brings new experiences and sometimes challenges but we would not change anything.
We quite often get asked, how do we do it? Aren’t we ready to go home? Aren’t we sick of travelling yet?
We love travelling together so that makes it easier. We enjoy experiencing new places and what they have to offer. Having the opportunity to see the World outside of our own world at home is a privilege that not everyone gets to experience, so we never take it for granted. Our passion and love of travel is what keeps us going.
Over the last 12 months we have visited 16 countries, 8 of these being new to us. Travelled 64,135kms by plane, train, bus, boat, car, canoe, bike, horse, mule & our legs. We’ve stayed in hostels, hotels, AirBnB, B&Bs, on a boat, in cabins & friends homes. * Favourite country is Ecuador
* Favourite city Bogotá * Favourite town Strasbourg * Favourite activity abseiling down waterfalls in Banos
* Gregor’s highlight was 5 days at The British Open Golf * Suze’s highlight was a day at Keukenhof Tulip Festival
* Favourite food Ceviche in Peru
* Favourite drink Pisco Sour in Peru
* Worst experience Suze’s accident
After all this it is not time to go home yet. We still have another about another 6 months to go and 8 or so countries to visit with lots of new an exciting experiences to be had.
Thank you for following our adventures so far. We just love sharing it with you all and reading your comments.
So stay tuned for more.
