If I could give one piece of advice to my younger self it would be in the spirit of the wonderful message in the attached image. We teach people how to treat us in this life & if we don’t treat ourselves in the best possible way how can we expect others to? It’s easier said than done but loving yourself fully and completely is key to leading your very best life. It’s also the key to bringing the very best people and opportunities into your life (trust)

Yeah it’s about time for me to buy some Canes!! Anybody know of a good spot or person to get some from? I think might make my own! What you think?? 🤔
Would you buy Canes if Made them? Oh well I guess I’ll have to see cause it’s about to go down!!
Nice work @bahayogi and thanks for letting us play with them @yogawithdavina 🤙🏾
Cosplay has helped me a lot with myself esteem. Funny how making myself look like someone else make me more comfortable with myself.
Love yourself even though it's hard. No one will love you more.
✨Yogi Struggles ✨
We believe thank Yoga is for Every Body, and that everyone is different. Our teaching style is to give students options in poses and allow them to find their own safe place to stop. Here is our teacher and regular student Ross @rossyogi telling us about a pose he struggles with, and how he adapts the pose to work with his body. “My Yogi struggles .. Half moon pose ( Ardha Chandrasana )
From the pictures you will see that in the one of them that my front foot is pointing forwards as it should be to conform with the ‘text book “ version of the pose. In the second picture however my front foot is pointing somewhere near to 45 degrees and this is how I amend the pose so that I can balance and to gain some control in order to hold the pose for a few breaths.
In the first pose although it may look in the picture like I am managing okay I’m actually using the wall as a support without which I would certainly have lost balance an toppled out of the pose, as has happened before in class when I’ve tried to adjust my foot to face forwards
Ive been looking at this with Heini recently and what I think is happening is that I’m attempting to create a broader base for the pose be spreading my foot over a wider angle, also my back leg wants to drift backwards and throw me off balance so having my front foot at 45 degrees is an attempt to compensate and steady the pose. I think that this is almost certainly preventing me from getting more height in my back leg too and achieving that lovely straight line along the leg an side of the body.
I don’t feel as though there any other physical constraints such as restrictions in my hip joint which are preventing me from aligning my foot to the front , so perhaps I can still work towards this by focusing more on what my back leg is doing and engaging more from my core as well which will hopefully allow me to gain better balance and alignment… a work in progress
In the meantime however you may want to avoid being on the mat next to me when we are practicing half moon pose in class.. i’m sure there are still a few topples to come yet” 😊.
Remember that living a “healthy lifestyle” is not a fad, it’s not a diet, it’s not a 6 week challenge... it’s a long term way of living that you never have to change.
Here are the bullet points to follow... 1. Eat unprocessed, Whole Foods
2. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water
3. Exercise daily (anything you enjoy that gets you moving)
4. Try and get 8 hours of sleep a night
5. Find time to meditate or enjoy some time by yourself
6. Say something you are grateful for everyday- this will do wonders for your mindset
7. Surround yourself with good people that only want the best for you.
Happy Friday All!! ❤️😘
Happy Friday Fancy Friends! I’m still on a high from my annual trip with my sister. Every summer we pick a destination and go, just her and I. It’s always a time of bonding, catching up, relaxation, trying new things and a ton of fun!
It felt so good to take off my mommy hat for a few days and just be good to myself. It just felt great to put myself first even for a short while. When was the last time you put yourself first? #ownyourfancy#begoodtoyourself#travelingmom#summerselfcare#fridaythoughts
