INDULGE MORE 💕 Healthy habit #2 .
Its important for our wellbeing to indulge in things that bring us happiness, without feeling guilt. For me it’s Yummy FOODS & eating out!
I went through a stage where I used to label foods as “bad” & obsess about macros- Carbs, fats & proteins. I even used to feel guilty about eating a banana 🍌 for god sake. When we attach emotions like guilt to eating or things that make us happy, it takes the whole intention & enjoyment out of it!
Guilt can lead to a point of deprivation & then have a counteracting effect of binge eating.. the vicious cycle begins again.
Indulging in moderation & creating a healthy relationship with food is essential to a happy life! My aim is not to create a restrictive diet, but a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable & enjoyable. It is not only nourishing for your body, but your soul.
Like all things in life, the key to success is consistency, moderation and balance. Treating yourself should be a positive experience, although having a level of self awareness to understand what is beneficial for the body, & not overindulging is key. #indulge#noguilt#guiltfree#healthylifestyle#healthymind#vegan#happiness#content#foodiegram#food#veganfoodporn#treatyoself#probiotics#coyo#matcha#spiralina#beetpowder#yoghurt#parfait#rainbow
Happy Saint Nicholas Day!🎅❄️
Have a Santa hat onigiri!❤️
It’s made with cooked white rice cut with powdered beets (I blitzed up a few beet chips😉) & sprinkled lightly with salt before forming it into a chunky triangle (wrapping it in plastic helps). I snuck some avocado pieces inside for a nice color and texture. Then I wrapped a strip of white sandwich cheese around the base (I used butterkäse) and added a little white rice ball on top (you could put a yummy piped mound of cream cheese instead).🍙❤️
Hope you all have a fun day!

Beetroot - often an exciting ingredient for "single ingredient" challenge. Let's say you take 5 classic cocktails, and 5 individual ways to use beets (cannot duplicate the mise en place) - how would you bring the flavours to life? Curious your thoughts! Here are mine: beet vermouth, beet liqueur, beet bitters, beet booch (kombucha), beet powder.
What's your favourite way to use beetroot in a cocktail? Is it red? Pink? Candy cane? Yellow? White? Sugar beet? .

This was the inspiration behind the most stunning latte by @fuelyourfight_nutrition. We share her original post below: "Some people get their extra nutrients via smoothies. Other people live in colder-than-a-witch’s-titty Wyoming and sneak those nutrients in via super hot lattes. I present the pink latte 🤗 Beet powder, collagen, cordyceps powder, cinnamon, sea salt, raw honey, rose water, and almond milk. Heat up your almond milk, brew your rose water, mix all ingredients in a blender, serve in a pretty cup, and top with rose petals cuz u extra af."
Girl, we can do 'extra' every day of the week! Sign us up for more lattes!
‘Tis the season where I super duper don’t want smoothies anymore because I’m cold even thinking about the fact that it’s cold outside.
I’ll stop shivering in probably May.
One good thing?! It’s porridge season!!! This Murasaki sweet potato porridge is one of my absolute favorites and warms my cockles. Which if you don’t know what a cockle is, they’re either the ventricles in your heart or some mollusks and... it’s a weird saying for sure.
This is just one of the 20 or so recipes in Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Manifesto.
There. We said it. The debate is real! But what other word do you use when a baked good is totally oooooey, gooey, and amazing? 🤷♀️
These gloriously beet glazed donuts by @fuelyourfight_nutrition are exactly that - moist, decadent, and delicious. .
Can you handle the word moist? Or can you simply not stand to use it?

We share Bekah's original post below: . Ingredients are below, and I topped this bowl with granola * coconut sprinkles * and passion fruit"
"Ingredients: protein oats * nut mylk * @sarifoodscompany beet powder * ground flax seeds * frozen banana (for extra sweetness) * cinnamon * ginger * topped with frozen blueberries * granola * coconut sprinkles * passion fruit 👌

1.Lower Your #BloodPressure
Drinking #BeetJuice may help to lower blood pressure in a matter of hours. One study found that drinking one glass of beet juice lowered systolic blood pressure by an average of 4-5 points. The benefit likely comes from the naturally occurring nitrates in beets, which are converted into nitric oxide in your body. Nitric oxide, in turn, helps to relax and dilate your blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.
2.Boost Your #Stamina
If you need a boost to make it through your next workout, beet juice may again prove valuable. Those who drank beet juice prior to exercise were able to exercise for up to 16 percent longer. The benefit is thought to also be related to nitrates turning into nitric oxide, which enhance exercise.
Beets are a unique source of betaine, a nutrient that helps protects cells, proteins, and enzymes from environmental stress. It's also known to help fight inflammation, protect internal organs, improve vascular risk factors, enhance performance, and likely help prevent numerous chronic diseases.
The powerful phytonutrients that give beets their deep crimson color may help to ward off cancer. Research has shown that beetroot extract reduced multi-organ tumor formations in various animal models when administered in drinking water, for instance, while beetroot extract is also being studied for use in treating human pancreatic, breast, and prostate cancer.
5.Rich in Valuable Nutrients and Fiber
Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium (essential for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also contain the B vitamin folate, which helps reduce the risk of birth defects.
The betalin pigments in beets support your body's Phase 2 detoxification process, which is when broken down toxins are bound to other molecules so they can be excreted... @jackson_turner_official

BEETS and Performance .
Have you ever been in a place where you’re taking really good care of yourself through nutrition, hydration, getting enough sleep and training well but you’re wanting to up your game in the gym, on the track or in the pool? .
Well beets/beet juice/beet powder might be something to give a try. Not only are beets high in fiber to help your digestive tract and antioxidants to help fight inflammation and free radicals made in the body. Additionally, they have nitrates and when eaten nitrates are converted into nitric oxide. This process then relaxes blood vessels and improves RBC circulation which can in turn help cardiovascular endurance and athletic endurance by improving VO2max. .
Fresh beets/ beet juice/beet powder supplement are all things you could try to help improve your athletic performance if interested. .
Lastly, consuming fresh beets (I recommend baked) are a great way to check how your GI tract is working......purple 💩 hehe
Have a nice day now! Tag your buddy who would enjoy this💩 haha!
