- “Bed of Roses” by Bon Jovi (the band’s name), written by Jon Bon Jovi. Wiki says he had a hangover when he wrote song. 🥴 Link in my profile 👀 for full song on YouTube (ken1w).
Probably the most challenging song for me so far. It’s long, at 6.5 minutes. When I record video song using Spotlite (karaoke app), it’s one continuous take. Hard to sing that long; took “a few” tries. I sat down for this one... 😅
Tried doing whole song one octave down, but sounded odd and boring. So I mixed it up. Cracked some notes up high and decided minor blemishes worked for a song about suffering a hangover. 🥺 (Yeah, that’s the ticket... 😏)
This short version does not get to most recognizable part of song (its chorus), so go listen on YouTube. 😬 It has a lot more nice origami too, in wide screen! 😮 (hehe... 😆)
[Whoa COOL, noticed after posing, this clip begins and ends on same guitar 🎸 note. So it “loops” nicely. 😎]
Recorded and shared using Spotlite, the mobile karaoke 🎤 app, on my iPad. Background track from Spotlite’s library. Origami visuals added with iMovie, on my Mac.

My mother used to have this saying... "don't give me my flowers while I'm dead. I don't have use for em then. Give em to me while I'm alive to smell em."... I dont have a saying but i have been doing what I do best... "faking sick." I've been sluggin it since October. Just down and dragging. And every other day Justin comes in with some flowers. It's flowers of all stages (fresh, withering, dying, dead) around this house. At one point we had to sit some in the bathroom. We even have some in the trash.
Justin never knew my mother but he seems to share her beliefs, because if you didn't know me I could convince you I was running a floral shop from home. But at least I can smell them. At least I'm alive to smell them.
