// very happy with how my final went for my design class. we started off by using magazine cutouts to create a collage that represents a wish, fear, dream, or nightmare, and then went onto Adobe Illustrator to draw out every little detail. i decided to go with fear, and ended up focusing on the social anxiety i experience - hands pointing and reaching, faces judging and watching, feeling silenced and repressed (note the X on the girl’s face) as well as the overall idea of feeling watched and belittled. i included the beautiful yet chaotic background to show that even if i’m surrounded by beauty, it’s still possible to be facing my fears and to feel stuck in my thoughts. the mascara brush represents the times i’ve looked towards things that i believed would make me become “accepted” by others.
this was an incredible learning experience as well as an excellent way to express myself deeply. i spent at least 20-25 hours working on this over this past week, and i’m quite pleased with the outcome. despite the crazy time commitment, i’d say it was worth it and i know i’ll always have this to look back on.
thank you 💗
Today has been all about a sleepover at nannas ( lie in for mummy 😍) rest and loose parts play , so far she has made dinner, been a shop keeper and built a tower !! #mylittleladybugadventures 🐞
A ‘loose parts’ toy, is open-ended; children may use it in many ways and combine with other loose-parts through imagination and creativity.
Nature, which excites all the senses, remains the richest source of loose parts.
Fun Friday ⭐️ - Chase has been asking for more paint colours, so this morning we went and got a few more. I can’t say no to creativity. Oh and remember today only happens once, make it amazing! #becreative#funfriday#create#toddlerlife
Yup, that’s my fancy palette 🎨 😂A simple piece of cardboard recycled from something I received in the mail with layers and layer of paint on it. Mixing colors is fun! I TRY to just follow my instincts and stay away from 👀 or thinking about the color wheel and all the flipping rules! The reason I do my palette this way and reuse so many times is because I love Mother Earth 🌏 and try my best to conserve resources and not add to the toxic trash problem that can be a byproduct of painting. #paintlikeashaman
Yummm!!😋 For #lunch today I made some Japanese-inspired BBQ 🍗 Chicken drumsticks!! Had some delicious leftover dressing, that very much reminded me of Goma Dare- an addictive sesame dipping sauce that my mom would serve with Shabu Shabu growing up. My dressing was a blend of sprouted pepitas, ginger, green onion, asafoetida, lime, 🍓 strawberry, maple syrup, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, @drcowanspowders 🌊 sea vegetable powder, and 💗 Love! 👍🏻Thoroughly coated these @Costco #organic drumsticks (only $1.79/#) with the dressing and baked in the oven till done! ✅ Proud kitchen playtime lunch creation moment. 🙃 #paleo#leftoversreinvented Happy Friday!!
