If I’m being honest with myself and all of you, I hold myself back in my confidence. I know I need to dive all the way into this path I want to take as far as careers/jobs are concerned.
In order to do that I need to stop questioning so much and just give it my all. That’s what I would like to be held accountable for. Stop being a wuss, and just go for it. Be fearless, be brave, be bold, be the fierce goddess I know I am and that I’m capable of being!! Failure is only an option is you try, if you just go for it everything is a lesson and a step forward...now I just need to take my own advice 😉

A year ago I changed my life because I was unhappy with what I saw in the mirror. I wrote my goals on a piece of paper and told myself it is all about the journey. I wasn’t going to rush the process. ❤️
For far too long I always wanted the quick fix thinking it would get me to my goals but it never did. I used to make jokes about how I was a quitter or told myself I am just big boned 😂😂 I used excuses to not get healthy and then one day I said ENOUGH ❤️ It was the best decision of my life not only for myself but for my relationship with Rob 💕

Every morning we talk about what our day looks like, and what we could do to help each other with errands or stuff around the house! We discuss every evening how our days went and talk about the positive things that occurred!

Before and After alert 🚨 so it’s been almost a month that I got to be the cutest member of my family and boy what a hunk I turned into ! I was sick and malnourished and I had a life of neglect and abuse in my one year of life BUT look at me now ! I was rescued by a very special rescue and my Mommy got to bring me home and take care of me 💙 so now I’m a super hunk growing out of my pants and I climbed the big staircase today 🐾 I love my whole family and I make sure to get my rubs from everyone. I’m so brave, my doctor didn’t even recognize me ! Thankful I was able to go for a run today. My mom is here so I went for a run before the sun went down. This is a luxury these days. So many little lifestyle changes & being able to get up & go for a run when I want to is one of them.
Something about moving my body, the fresh air on my face, the music in my ears, & the gift of the outdoors, just makes me feel FREE! It helps me conquer my anxiety & manage my grief! It’s my time to run, sing, pray, cry, think, & dream. I return home with my head a little clearer & my heart little lighter.

Congrats to @hebe66 on culminating a perfect training season and rocking a PR of 3:49:26 at the @philly_marathon!
“I can’t begin to find the words to describe my journey to the finish line of the Philly Marathon. My training cycle was right on track through the awful heat of the summer, crazy thunderstorms and an epic Norway trip. I was comfortable slowly building and hitting mileage I hadn’t before. Then I developed iliopsoas tendinitis that sidelined me for 4 weeks of no running (basically all of October). I know—Heather got injured, big surprise. I tried to be patient. I cross-trained as much as I safely could including hours on the Alter-G at @finishlinept (big thanks to @emmi91 for fixing me up) and many of @iammelissawolfe ‘s spin classes @swervefitness. .
Race morning I was a ball of nerves. I could barely eat breakfast. My Garmin was out of whack the first 7 miles in the city so I had to run by feel. I felt good. I saw teammates and friends who had me pumped. Then a hill caused my hip to flare up and back to spasm. I calmed down and settled in. Mile 16, I blew up. It felt like I couldn’t breathe. I distracted myself by looking for teammates on the out and back. I had ambitious goals that were slipping away. I walked, I ran, I cried through 10 brutal miles. I fought myself, then accepted what my body and mind could offer that day. .
I probably didn’t run the smartest race but Sunday I ran what I needed for my heart and my head even if my body wasn’t ready. I needed to go for it. The marathon distance is a monster and I learned a lot. I will take my 41 min PR and wear it with pride. 3:49:26 officially.

Today, I’m thankful for all of the things and people in my life that genuinely make me smile and bring me uncontested joy. I absolutely love to laugh and be happy. But, sometimes it’s hard to find happiness when you survey things in your life that are both out of your control and out of your understanding.
Even still, there is joy amongst us. Joy is that feeling of acceptance and peace even when you may not be necessarily “happy.” — Sometimes we have to dig really deep to find it, and sometimes it’s as simple as the laugh I had today with my mom over a viral Facebook video.
I hope that you all can find a bit more joy. And if it’s hard...just know I am praying for you to find it sooner than later. ✨
