Today my Mum would be 73. This image was taken when setting up for her 70th birthday celebration. Just before this was taken she said to me quietly ... “the next time you set it like this will be for my wake”. I scoffed. It was. She passed away 18 months later. Every day she is missed but today will always be her day #happybirthdaymum#beautifulwoman#rolemodel#motherlove
Se engana quem acha que a riqueza e o status atraem inveja... As pessoas invejam mesmo é o Sorriso fácil, a Luz própria, a Felicidade simples e sincera e a Paz interior.

My coffee making looks a bit different than 14yrs ago... no big coffee pot. No more filters to fill. No more sweeten-low & sugar.
But making a cup still brings back the same memories.
I was a sophomore in High School when two illnesses hit our family. My Great Grandmother fell and injured her knee. This occurred around the same time my granddaddy was diagnosed with cancer.
He had been taking care of his mom in her home when his treatments began. He became too weak to stay with her. So he offered me a proposition: you come and stay with maw maw in the evenings until she's up and moving around on her own again, and once she's better I'll get you a car. (Now you gotta know-though excited-I could careless about the car, I was more than willing to jump in and help however I could.) I'll admit, I was nervous at first. I had no idea how our evenings would look like or what I was really going to do to help. But during my time with her... I learned so much.
She taught me how to make a proper cup of coffee @5am no less 😜. She taught me how to be strong and resilient no matter how tough life may become.
I learned how much she LOVED birds.
I also learned how she wanted to be called "mawise" (maw-ease) because she wanted something different for her 'grandmother' name-but it just didn't work out she guessed.
I learned how to just be a good friend and be there during a difficult season-how to care for others.
She loved God and missed church terribly. Yet she was so thankful and excited when her pastor visited.
She has aged beautifully-with grace, determination, and strength like I've never seen. She is one of the most beautifully strong women I've ever met or have had the privilege to get to know.
I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to tell her so during our trip to Mississippi. -I even got to fix her a coffee❤️ I'm also thankful we were also able to stop by again to let the kids visit with her too. -she was so trilled to see them! ....my heart aches for her company again, yet rejoices that she is now in the company of our Lord.

A beautiful woman delights the eye. When virtue and modesty enlighten her charms, the lustre of a beautiful woman is brighter than the stars of heaven, and the influence of her power it is in vain to resist. Being jealous of a beautiful woman isn't going to make you more beautiful.
