I believe sick people should have access to health care, regardless if they can pay. I believe in judging people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin or their sexual identity or orientation. I believe love is better than hate, I believe in helping people. I believe in feeding the hungry, clothing the less fortunate, providing shelter when needed. I believe you have the right to believe what you want but I also believe I have the right to not interact with you if I choose not to.
Be completely silent for a moment and take it all in. Right now. This present moment. Take a breath. Exhale. Let it all go. The now really is all we have. 🙌(*Disclaimer for those who don’t really know me - Everything I say on social media, such as the above, is advice to my own little self...I ain’t no fucking master people)....Never have claimed to be, never will be. 👊 But far out, here’s a recent lesson that’s blown my mind - as a forever wordsmith...There really is something to be said for the amazing gift of #silence 💛 or maybe there’s not. And that’s the whole point. #nowords ✌️
"Some of my most difficult conversations I have had in the midst of my cancer have been with believers who do not see God in a hard plan. So many believe that hard comes and then God makes it better. It is so easy to forget that our Salvation came by way of the hard of a cross."
Kara Tippetts, And it was Beautiful
“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 // We’re passionate that each child here knows that regardless of their earthly parentage, they have a Heavenly Father who created, loves, & desires a personal relationship with each of them. #IAmAChildOfGod#BeautifulTruth
I ask myself... can you still find the beauty in what “appears” to be fading ? Do you have the courage to see behind the illusion of pretty and perfect and look for the depth of beauty that isn’t as “obvious” or available to the untrained eye ? My heart 💕 knows there is beauty everywhere. Beauty in pain. Beauty in that which is fading. Beauty in letting go of what was once beautiful. Beauty - deeply woven into the darkest corners of life. Perhaps it is the truth that when I am willing to acknowledge that level of beauty, the full radiance of my own beauty will blossom like never before. #beauty#beautiful#beautifultruth#beautyeverywhere#remember#youareagoddess#goddess#goddesswisdom#beautyneverfades#realbeauty
Action and being stagnant are two different things yes, but it takes a lot of mindset energy, emotional exhaustion to stay stagnant. Whether you are facing a wall with determination or laziness, there is still a wall. Next week is a brand new week to work on things that will require action. What type of action are you willing to take? One that keeps you stagnant but emotionally exhausted, or action that propels you forward, breaks off the weight that has kept you down and brings you into a new season? .
If you are out there right now, hurting, fading, struggling...I want you to know that you’re not alone.
If you are sitting in the middle of what feels like a raging storm...I want you to know that it’s okay. You’ll be okay.
While everyone’s storm ends differently, please know that it does end...and you can rise. I know this because I’ve had to do it. And if I can do it, so can you.
You can rise from that place inside you that suggested you weren’t ever enough.
I also want you to know there’s a difference between being broken and feeling broken. I know now, I was never broken...and neither are you.
Those hurts you feel, the pain you’ve endured, they don’t make us broken...they make us human and real.
When I rose though, I had to do it differently. And maybe you need to as well...
When I rose, it was no longer about covering up my wounds but instead, it was about letting them bleed. Bleeding out my fears...bleeding out my pain...bleeding out rejection...bleeding out self-doubt. And in turn, bleeding out my truth.
But here’s the thing about bleeding...it’s scary. It’s raw, it’s honest, it’s vulnerable.
But it’s okay. It’s okay to feel lost, it’s okay to feel broken, it’s okay to bleed.
A funny thing happens when you stop trying to cover yourself up; people will see your wounds and share with you their own. Suddenly we stop trying to hide our pain and instead we bleed together, hurt together, rise together. And together, we discover that we are enough. We are enough in our fears, enough in our pain and enough in the history we carry with us.
And all those parts of ourselves that we didn’t think were worth showing will come together and create a beautiful new truth...a truth that will open a gateway to something more amazing than we ever thought possible; it will open us to vulnerability...to possibility...to healing. It will open us up to ourselves. Give yourself the gift of you.
Daily reminder that God created you to be only you.
You are not supposed to be a copy of anyone else.
He has given you gifts, talents, and a voice only you have.
Don’t try to be like someone you’re not.
Someone is waiting for you and your gifts to change their life.
BE FULLY YOU friend! #wilmingtonnc
Hey there 👋🏼 Guess what? You matter, you are seen, and you are undeniably, unconditionally loved. It’s obvious that this world is one vicious place. As long as the devil is prowling, we are going to get attacked. We should begin to worry and examine our lives if we’re NOT getting attacked. If you are walking in holiness and are a threat to the kingdom of darkness, there is a target on your back, my dear friend. Let us not be surprised when the war rages. One of the most common tools the enemy uses is robbing us of the knowledge of our identity in Christ. It’s almost like every time we scroll through social media, we forget our worth. We’re bombarded with the successes of others, facades of perfection, and flawlessly presented lives that DO NOT EXIST. All the devil needs is for one tiny doubt to slip into your thoughts and he begins to dig deeper into the corridors of your mind right into your spirit where he is not welcome. “You’re not good enough. You’re not progressing. Look over there at that person, look how much better they’re doing. You’re nothing. You’re not as pretty. You’re not as well off. You should be discontent. You should be bitter. Be angry. Be jealous. Let this funk consume you. Allow depression to seep in. *punch in the face, stab, kick*” LIES. ALL LIES. Do not buy what that punk is selling. As soon as we lose sight of our worth in Christ, we fix our eyes on something else, making it our idol. It could be anything. A relationship, clothing, beauty, our bodies, even our knowledge, or any other skills. My dear, your worth does not come from ANY of that. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You were carefully and precisely knit together in your mother’s womb by the Creator of the stars and the space in between in which they rest. The same God who hand crafted the sun rays that light up your face made that beautiful face you possess! The more time the enemy has us coveting and lusting over the lives of others, the less time we spend pouring into the calling that the Lord has placed on our own lives. And oh what a shame it would be to neglect our anointing and miss out of the blessings that have our names carved out on them! (1/2)
