Today started off a bit annoying day, we wanted to get out of Punta Arenas, because it's cold, wet and there's not much to do, but typically, the internet had the wrong bus times so we missed the bus, and that meant another full day wandering around with not much too do...
So I googled beachfront cafes and Image Libro Arte Cafe came up on TripAdvisor with some incredible views, so we headed there to see what all the fuss was about!
And as soon as I stepped in I realised, the place was beautiful, and already had such a nice vibe to it, and then I saw they had a little chalk board with vegan options written on it, which included.. ALMOND MILK!!! I've been avoiding coffee recently as I've found black coffee really heightens my anxiety and then I really crash afterwards, but with a dairy free milk with it, it seems to be okay ☕☕☕☕
This coffee was definitely okay, one of the best I've had since I've been away! And even better once we found out they had raspberry shortbread vegan and gluten free biscuits... happy days!!!!
So we had our coffee, 2 hot chocolates and biscuits and sat in the cafe for a couple of hours or so, chatting to eachother, other people in the cafe, people watching and watching the beach and birds with the binoculars, it was perfect! The tranquil environment that I'd be craving and the perfect coffee and biscuits to accompany it
For anyone that's in Punta Arenas, I would 100% recommend you pop the Image Arte Libro Cafe, you won't be disappointed!!! .
It’s been 34 years since I last picked up a Rubik’s cube and even though back then I could do it in under 3 minutes it’s gonna be tough to figure this little thing out again! Phase 1 complete though, top face and top row. 2 more rows to go!! #rubikscube#challenge#beachtime#beachbar
“O preto e branco têm cor
A vida tem mais humor
E pouco a pouco, o vazio se completa
O errado se acerta, o quebrado conserta
E assim, tudo muda, mesmo sem mudar
A paz se multiplicou
Que bom que você chegou
Pra somar” #us#beachtime#summerfeelings#beach#aboutus#ouvidizer

My mom was born into poverty in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. When she was 5 years old, she was admitted into the hospital for a blood transfusion as a result of malnutrition and consuming too much dirt. Sadly, two of her sisters didn't beat it.
Although she started school late because of health issues and had a number of odds working against her throughout childhood, she went on to graduate high school, move to the states, learn English, graduate college, get married, have two children and earn her masters degree from Fordham University.
From my father I learned my love of travel and nature, story telling and writing and to dream bigger. But from my mother I learned independence, perseverance, not making excuses and the need to be your own role model. She's one of the hardest workers I've ever witnessed, almost always holding down two jobs. And now she gets to enjoy her retirement with her puppy @rosiebeanthedog back on the island in her beautiful and safe home.
To top it all off, mom has always supported my dreams, even when they are the most unconventional of ones. I am proud to be my mother's daughter. And I'm proud to be half Puerto Rican. I haven't left yet and I already can't wait to come back.
