Such a pleasure @mega_tron_golly!
Loved being able to give this cutie an asymmetrical ‘lived in’ look! . . . . . .
*Blowdryed with @randco Freeway at the root area and ends, for lift & volume. Tossed in a couple curls with her natural wave, and added a little @randco Sail for lived in textured look! . .
Thanks @chelseavonnejames for the great techniques & inspiration!
(Cont from previous post) In my opinion, bc of how much box dye had been previously overlapped& stained from her ends, it would be required for her to come every 4 weeks to maintain the color. Bleaching / correcting does not “erase” your mistakes people! There is no “one and done!” To maintain a look there is always upkeep, color correction or not. There are opportunists who seek to get their hair done and want instant gratification, who do not grasp the work put in or most importantly the education and information that come w getting a service done that require correcting and sessions. I’m never surprised that most people go back to box dye if they’ve been avid users, and a lot of clients get their hair done for one occasion and they go back to box dye once the occasion is over. So whether you or someone you know who tend to switch from dark to light or has been coloring dark for a long time and want a spontaneous/ drastic change just keep in mind... 1️⃣The process is SLOWER than the average time frame, there’s no definitive time frame. It’s only what your hair can handle! 2️⃣The services can be expensive. I’m not allowing people to run 🏃 out on the bill just bc the first session is “already expensive” and your husband will lose his shit if you have to pay again. But if the look that you want still requires a SECOND session, it’s not considered a do over. Like I said, if you want more you have to pay more. My job is to make sure your hair can handle it, and the products I use for YOU is yours, on your head. If it weren’t possible I would not advise it or proceed! 3️⃣Correcting may or may not give the results you’re looking for; what you put in your hair yourself determine the stylists outcome. ✨Thank you for joining my ted talk!✨ #hairbyneevie#bayareahairstylist#bayareasalon#bayareabalayage#bayareablondes#blondebombshell#balayagebabe#balayagehighlights#babylights#balayagebabylights#balayageblend#balayageblonde#colorcorrection#hairstyles#balayageombre#blendedhair#cosmoprofbeauty#licensedtocreate#stylistsupportingstylists#hairstylistlife#inspirationhair#paulmitchell#kenra#olaplex#eastbayarea#yourfavoritehairstylist#fuckbadhair
✨FULL BLONDING✨ This service is a full babylight, all foils, no bleach out. This allows you to wait as long as you want for a touch up but have a smooth grow out with no harsh lines! Pricing for a full solid blonding session starts at 300+, a partial touch up starts at 150+ depending on length and thickness. A color like this may require sessions to get this solid & light! Let’s have some real talk for a minute. Have you thought about how strong your consultations are? Are you confident enough to ask the right questions or to tell the guest the truth even if you know it’s not what she or he may not want to hear? Whether your consultation is on point can literally decide whether your appointment is a success or not. Allowing your guest to think her hair is in great condition when she really needs to be told it’s damaged. Telling your guest that at best she going to leave a gorgeous light brown when she really wants to be platinum blonde. Even explaining to her/him that although their heart is set on that ultra trendy ashy tone, her skin tone is going to look so much better with a neutral or even warmer tone finish. These are just a few of the things we should be going over in our consultation. I have found that my guests would much prefer I am up front and honest right at the start of the appointment. This allows them to relax and know what they can expect. It allows them to know that we are both 100% on the same page. If things go better than intended then that’s a bonus but I never want them to be bummed out at the end of our time together because I didn’t have the confidence to be up front and honest in our consultation. Realistic results, integrity of hair, appointment duration and price are a few of the topics that cannot be over looked! Guests do not speak “ hair stylist”. We cannot assume they know anything about warm vs cool, or the way layers will fall or why permanent hair color might not be the right choice. As a matter of fact your better to assume they don’t know and explain it to them!
What are some topics you make sure to cover in your consultations?? #bayareahairstylist#hairstylist#bayareahairdresser#bayareasalon#bayareablonding#bayareablondingspecialist#balayage#highlights#hairpainting#sanjose#sanjoseblondingspecialist#sanjosehairsalon#sanjosehairstylist#sanjosehairdresser#santaclara#santaclarasalon#SantaClarahairstylist#santaclarahairsalon#santaclarauniversity#santaclarajobs#santaclarawomen#hairenvy#santaclaraextensions#bayareaextensions
Lighting is everything 👌🏻
This color is considered blonding, not a balayage!
ASH/GREY TONES: These colors are considered to be just like pastels, their tones fade quickly unless your hair is almost white (which I do not recommend if you have a darker base) having white hair is very damaging if it’s not being taken care of properly. To maintain your toner, wash your hair the least amount you can! Toners last 15-20 washes depending on how often you wash. Then you want to be using SULFATE FREE, color protecting, PROFESSIONAL shampoo! I can’t stress this enough 🤯
Then there’s also your water at home in general, if you have hard water or well water, this can also fade your color & cause breakage due to the minerals that are being left in your hair. The solution for this would be a softener or shower head replacement, Some things for y’all to consider ✨
