I love when artists introduce
themselves like this ..#AIMF 🎄🎀

This is me - the artist behind this account. I’m Bulgarian born to a half-Bulgarian, half-Ukrainian family. I’ve lived in Barcelona, New York, London and now San Francisco. I have a dog. I have always wanted to be an artist. When I was a child I also wanted to be a horse rider. I’m a full time artist and illustrator. My illustrations have been used on packaging, branding, editorial and even set design and experiential installation. I speak five languages - English, Bulgarian, Russian, Spanish and some German. I don’t know why my accent sounds French to you. I’m not married, but I’m engaged. My partner is also an artist. I like San Francisco - my favorite things are the views, how friendly people are, how dog-centered and environmentally friendly it is. My art studio is at @1890bryantstudios. I’ve had it for 6 months. I work in black and white because I find the world too busy and noisy and I want my work to help you unload rather than add on. I’m not sure why I used indigo color, I’m still figuring it out. I shop my clothes mostly from Zara, although I haven’t bought new clothes in a really long time. I’m older than you probably think I am. My parents aren’t artists, and although they were afraid of me making a career in art they’re recognizing how fulfilled it makes me feel. You can draw much more than just a stick figure. As long as you can hold a pen and make a mark you can draw. Everyone is artistic. Maybe only robots aren’t artistic, but I have a feeling some people would argue that. I gather inspiration from nature, but probably not in the way you think. I never plan what a piece should end up looking like. It was nice talking to you too!

It’s incredible looking back at all the work we were able to complete this past year. Each piece comes with its own story and has been a true blessing to work on. We cannot thank everyone enough for challenging us as artists and giving us a canvas to play with. Even though these are the top nine, we are proud of all the pieces that we created throughout the entire year.
2019 will hopefully provide even bigger opportunities and accomplishments. But it’s great looking back at what we’ve done and meeting / working with such wonderful people. Thank you all again so much!
It doesn’t start or end with a brush, a pen, pencil, can, a chord, a note, a movement, a stitch, a hit, a miss, a pan, a frame, negative, a bit... because art never starts or stops. It is constant because WE are constant. And we, are (the) art. #whatIsArt HOW WOULD YOU ANSWER THIS??? COMMENT BELOW!! theARTweARE project. Subscribe and follow then #stayTuned . 2018 vs 2017. About a year and a half ago difference. One of my teachers from school asked me to display my work this week from an assignment I completed back then. It’s based on how the city ultimately shapes you to become blasé. I really wanted to recreate some of them for the show but didn’t have enough time; however I was still inspired so I’m happy to re-conceptualize at least one of them on my own time. If you are around CCA, feel free to check it out! Should be up until Friday.
🎧Listen ! #tbt to last Thursday ! where Hanukkah parody “Anthem of the OG AntiXrist” was performed @touretteswithoutregrets. So grateful to live in a place where radical art is celebrated and appreciated. It feels so good to have autonomy in expression embraced and nurtured by the community in the Bay Area. I have tremendous gratitude for the freaky community making this happen, organically & intentionally.
Big thank you to my creative team:
The Voice @alex_el_veterano
Dragonettes @she_coder & @emily_skips
With you, we were able to turn a mere aerial piece a true work of art. Art is a gateway to an innovative world of deep thinking and orientation towards change. Endless gratitude for the cast of Tourette’s, @jamiedewolf @teamwonderdave @hunnybunnah for keeping Oakland weird! So much love for all the freaky people & creatures 🖤 Make art & make impact 👽
