Record your BP sessions ... today started rough and finished strong. Was able to make some key adjustments and did it quickly because I could see what I did right and wrong.

Oof back then my sophomore year when i wasn’t taking baseball serious...i was just going through the motions but it’s good for a good little throwback. This is when I didn’t take practice as serious as when I played in a game which would really mess me up. There’s a difference between having fun and being a clown so this is a good example of what not to do....What do yall think is more imporrant?Having fun or being serious and getting better??
⚾️Get immediate feedback on every swing with the Hitting Rope. To start, use it with the wiffle balls stationary and as you perfect your swing, have someone slide the balls towards you to see if your mechanics stay the same. Bramsports.com ⚾️
Do you have players throw live BP during simulated games at practice?
We have always done this for many reasons:
1. Pitchers get experience in a game situation, rather than a bullpen session.
2. Hitters get to face live pitching from a peer, not a coach, and this is a benefit when they're in a real game.
3. As a coach, it lets you know who is, and is not, ready to pitch in a game.
4. As a parent you, like the coach, can realistically see (I'm assuming you're watching...) if your player is, or isn't, ready to pitch in a game.

Words can’t explain how emotional I was earlier by being able to make my guy @bassow_wyatt 2018 a little better! Wyatt definitely is a very strong 13 year old because of everything him and his family have been through this year. Wyatt lost both sets of grandparents, father diagnosed with cancer, and dealing with a health condition he is battling. All of these events did not happen over time...this all happened in ONE year! When I met this kid at the @nashvillesounds remastered party I could definitely see that he was a great kid. I’m just glad that I was able to bring some positivity while we’re still in 2018. Growing up I always wanted to be in the majors to give back, but I realized that I didn’t need to be a pro athlete to give back. Wyatt I hope you enjoy everything including the custom remake of @mookiebetts cleats and signed @bigcityforreal bat. oh yeah let’s help Wyatt potentially meet Mookie #ikb20customs#customcleats#customkicks#customshoes#baseball#baseballmom#baseballdad#baseballswag#baseballislife#givingback#payitforward#makeawish
📖 STORY TIME 📖
I distinctly remember the day I met @stremm.life. He was an 8th grade baseball player that had been struggling with pretty significant back pain. This quiet kid was not happy. He had been fighting through back pain for some time and it finally was impeding his ability to play baseball, thus why his physical therapist referred him to me.
After only a few sessions, I realized that this kid was not only a hard worker, but strong for his age. As his back pain disappeared and he actually believed me he would get back to playing baseball, I finally saw a smile. A few more sessions later and I finally got a laugh.
Henry and I trained together for 2 years very consistently until I moved on to start @advancedtherapyperformance.
Fast forward two weeks prior to the start of his senior hs season I received an email stating that Henry was having sever back pain and was begging to get back in.
“I remember I could not get my pants on or go to class or sleep. I came in and got treatment and went 3-3 in the season opener”. Henry proceeded to help lead his team to a conference championship.
Fast forward to today and Henry has become one of the faces for ATP. Henry leads by a tireless work ethic and is exactly what we want from our athletes.
As for that crippling back pain, Henry states “non-existent and when it’s not perfect nothing a set of get-ups can’t fix”.
Henry’s #90mphformula Metrics
Reverse lunge: 455x3
Chin Up: 250x4
Long toss: 330feet
Bear crawl: “flawless” (his words)
60 yard dash: 6.39s
Tee exit velo with wood: 103mph
Henry is currently marching towards the metrics of the elusive #100mphformula . The only metric he has left is the long toss!

Creating the Plan is the beginning. COMMITTING to the plan requires you to get to the ball and swing towards your plan - not towards the ball. A slight shift in focus can be all you need to help your timing issues on moving pitches or tosses.
Just try it!
Step 1: Pick where exactly you want to send the ball (in this video - left-center gap or the wind chime is her plan)
Step 2: Tale a dry swing towards your target at a pitch somewhere in your green/grellow zone.
Once your swing is heading towards the target, instead of at the ball, you will take that swing to your next attack through a real ball.
Step 3: Take the same swing to your wind chime, and stare at and go attack the correct spot on the ball (in this video - that would be the 9-spot - taught in my hitter’s compass course - free on my website at justdigin.co)
Step 4: Allow your body the chance to move to the ball to make it go where you want to, NO MATTER WHAT! This is just practice, y’all! Best to see what you can hit to the left side hard, and which pitches naturally slice off to the right side when we are slightly late.

Lots of players are using their front hip incorrectly. They get stiff & static, which ultimately takes away from their power. 👎🏼 They have to learn how to use that front hip to force pressure👇🏻into the ground. This gives the player more stability and power in the rotation of their swing.
