Once upon a time, I was tagged in a Facebook buy-and-sell group by multiple customers/friends of mine, on a lady’s post to make a wine rack.
Although the image she had displayed is not nearly the same as the outcome of this one, but she was very open to ideas under two conditions - the bottle labels were visible and that six bottles could be displayed. So after weeks of bumps in the road, from NO hardware being found (like her original image), to some saving grace miracle of finding hardware online, then that said hardware being stuck at the border due to postal challenges, this lovely piece finally came together.
I have two creative men to thank for brainstorming hours on end to find out what to do, thanks brooksy and papa ❤️
Every once and a while I get these challenging projects that I constantly think about, but in the end turn out to be phenomenal and so rewarding- needless to say this is one of them.
The final piece is a two pieces of barnboard for the base with strips at the back supporting them, and also giving the rack depth and a layering effect. Then holding the bottles, are old leather strapping that has been weathered to a dark colour that gives the whole piece a rustic touch. The bottles have been staggered to support our layer attributes but also give a modern touch.
Thank you kailey for being so patient and open to ideas! This is one I won’t forget.

The ceiling project has started! The rest of the ceiling that is currently spray foam will be covered with corrugated metal. This should help brighten the area since we have limited windows. This apartment is starting to feel more like farm-like! #prairiecreekfarmwi
!!CHECK OUT THIS CUSTOM ORDER!! We have considered doing these awesome barn quilts before but never took the plunge but when a good friend (I can't name her here because this is a present 🎁) asked if we could make one for her out if barnwood signs they had at their wedding, we jumped at it 😍!! My husband is so good at math ➕➖✖➗(not this girl) and he pulled this whole thing off! Sssooooo cool!
I wanna know, should we make some more of these for our Spring Market at the Barnhouse?👍👎👍👎👍👎👍👎👍👎👍👎👍👎👍👎👍
How do you ensure your joints are square and tight?
This is my process to make my half laps nice and tight like a tiger. It might be a little bit overkill and unnecessary but I like to make sure everything is as perfect as possible.
with the couple months we had off touring, I really leaned into renovating the cabin 🏡 I’m really proud of how this corner & wall turned out ••••
