Two of today’s “mini-meals” ..... every plan is different, but my plan calls for 2oz meals every 3 hours (or a protein shake) ...... so today, I packed 1/4 cup ricotta in one 4 oz container, and 1/4 cup of fat free refried beans with 2 TBS fat free cheddar cheese in the other! Yummy and satisfying!! #bariatricfood
I’d love to hear your recommendations for a meal replacement type bar that’s high in protein but low in sugar. I liked the Premier Protein bars but the sugar is just too high. I need something that I can keep in the pantry and stick in my purse on days where I’ll be out and about. What are your favorites? TIA!

¿Quieres hacer esta belleza? Coloca en un sartén de 10” una cucharadita de mantequilla y una de aceite de oliva. Bate en un recipiente dos huevos y cuando la mantequilla se haya derretido agregar al sartén a temperatura media. Dejar que se cocine solo despegando los bordes, bajar el fuego hasta que el centro esté solido. Agregar relleno de un lado, cerrar omelette y servir cuando el queso se haya derretido pero no se haya empezado a salir.
Super quick breakfast this am because I have a busy morning. Half of a whole grain English muffin topped with chive and onion cream cheese and two slices of turkey. The protein is not as high as I would like and the carbs are a little too high, but I’ll have a low carb snack later. Next time I’d add spinach for some greens. My first real “food” in over a month (including pre-op liquid #diet ) .... blended chicken soup! I made a huge batch of chicken broth pre-surgery, and used the chicken and veggies to makes this #puree !!! Froze it in ice cube trays and voila!! 2oz of #bariatricfood for my #pureedfood stage!
Yes ladies and gentlemen i am using a baby bottle to measure my ounces lol I had my surgery 2 days ago and I’m feeling better than I expected. I have minor gas pains that go away when I walk around the house. Tonight's dinner was so easy! I sautéed some @jennieo sweet Italian chicken sausage and small, trimmed chicken thighs with salt, pepper, fresh garlic for a couple minutes (5 minutes) to crisp things up! #flavortown and then threw it on a sheet pan with some asparagus and bell peppers 🦃🐓🎋🌶 baked at 400 for 30 minutes yummmmm! I ate 1 small thigh and a almost a whole sausage with a couple veggies, 295 calories, 30.6 grams of protein! So I still haven't had added carbs this week! I'm craving chocolate today!!!! Sugar withdrawals? I've resisted and am trying to make it to Sunday. I'm really doing this to gauge how my energy levels will be compared to last week when I was eating more balanced rather than high protein/low carb. Also, weight loss, duh!
