Coming here has always had this way of making me feel so small and making the world feel so big. It really puts into perspective how small day to day problems really are when we’re just a tiny piece of a much bigger puzzle.
Hiking is a bit like life.. The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other.. Again and again. And if you allow yourself opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek, you will witness beauty every step of the way, not just at the summit.
Newest piece of ‘Bow Lake Paddle’ 16x20 on wood panel. This area on the Icefield Parkway is a hidden gem that reminds me of Lake Louise without as many people. The headwaters of the Bow is worth the stop and a paddle🏔🚣♀️🎨
16 years ago this August my wife and I got married and came to Banff for our #honeymoon . We stayed in a small bed and breakfast called Heidi’s B&B, and went for a walk towards Bow Falls. That bridge in the horizon didn’t exist back then, but the breathtaking view still remains.
Mornings at Moraine Lake 🏔 We ‘hiked’ up the Rockpile Trail, which is a short and easy 1.4km trail and happens to be the busiest hike starting from the lake and for good reason. The short uphill pathway literally winds its way to the top of a large pile of rocks where you find the most rewarding views overlooking Moraine Lake!
