Feeling more and more like a human again 🙏🏼
After weeks of having a hard time recovering from sinusitis I burnt my leg on a hot engine while parking my motor cycle 😩 Right before flying off to Krabi which was supposed to be a beach holiday 🙄 Anyway I didn‘t swim. At the beginning. At the end so I thought it might be a good idea to hop into the sea. Somehow I hoped it helped to heal 🙈 Besides pain (open wound + salt = 🥴 ) I ended up with an infection and fever instead 🤒 So flying home with a fever is not fun, especially when you fly with @airasia (where one delay meets the next). But we made it home eventually. Followed by a few crappy days with high fever of almost 40C. Days where I felt like the most crappy mom on earth. Being not able to properly care for my little girl felt just awful 😭 Not being able to cook proper food while really all we did was watching @officialpeppa straight through🙈
After having a clear mind again, I simply come to term that there are just days like that. Days where everything feels like absolut crap! Days on which we just try to get through in the the best way possible. And accept that not everything has to be perfect and glamorous all the time ✨
My wound is healing.. so all is well 😊
When was your last full of crap day? What went wrong? And how did you deal with it?
It’s sometimes hard to see through those picture perfect moments on social media. But never forget, we ALL have them. The crappy days. So try NOT to be blended by fractures of somebody’s life. They are just a one (brief) part of their story. There are many ways to use social media. Use it wisely. Honest. Real. Authentic.
My motivation this year is to learn the balance of life,
Something I'm still learning tbh.
Exchanging the dumbbells for a glass of wine every now and then.
I was always a all or nothing girl,
But realising a glass of wine & the odd cheat meal isn't going to make a lot of difference with the way I look day to day, as long as I keep my training & being active consistent.
Of course if you had a goal ahead for instance like a show,
Then yes it can make a difference to how you look like especially if your goal is to get lean & you have to sacrifice those social events to follow your dreams.
However I've had to learn for myself that balance is everything.
Don't feel guilty for that cheeky glass of wine or cheat meal,
When you work hard all week.
As long as it doesnt become a every day occurrence then what's the problem!

Too much or just the right amount of newlywed bliss?!
I can’t decide. A part of me is screaming “yaaaaassss all the yaaasss” and another part of me is saying “ we would only be wearing them for ourselves and a few family members and the obligatory insta photo.”
Soooooo where do you fall on the spectrum?
Opinions will be received light- heartedly because I am a grown ass woman and can make my own decisions 🤣
What a full and wonderful weekend!
1. I had 2 amazing nights being my moms feature @royalcomedytheatre. The crowd both nights was amazing!
2. Anijah got her hair pressed and she looks like a little young lady.
3. We went to see the Great Gatsby ritz theatre in north east- it was SO good and I can't wait to see another production!
4. Tonight was my last imporv class at @hugetheater and we had a showcase and I had the most fun.
What a busy weekend! I need a nap!
Sometimes it's not about it being convenient it's about knowing it needs to be done 😉
It would have been so easy to come home from work and say f it I'm just done for the day but I have challengers who depend on me to get my workouts done and a coach test group to stay accountable in and well that's enough for this mom to make sure she gets her workouts in ;-) This week was just mentally draining and I def could have slept longer this morning but all I think of when those thoughts of skipping my workout pop into my head is -> what would it help by skipping a day?? I wouldn't get any closer to my goals plus I just know how much better I feel after a good workout....so why not just get it done?! Plus I kinda love this workout so that helps 😂😁
Today I began to restore my balance ....again.🌈 side note: I was given this worry stone July 23, 2017 by a pastor in Lansing, NY at an outdoor church service. I stashed it in my purse and just found it this last Wednesday. Friday I was faced with some of my darkest fears and was able to ovwrcome them through finding my balance again. So glad this stone found me again when I needed it most.🌸🌈 ❇
With all of the changes and with everything I have been through, I temporarily got to a place where I felt ashamed of the person I had become, and guilty for the things that had occurred these last several months. I then felt guilty for things I had done so long ago that I was currently being tested on by the universe. I couldn't see the good that I was accomplishing. I felt defeated and afraid of what was to come. 🌹
Instead of allowing my stress to weigh me down any longer, I put it down for two hours. My sister watched my girls and I hit the skateboard path at 7:30 at night, and in 36°F/2.22222°C weather (for all u number fascinated people like myself...just found this out btw.)😂 You know you are dedicated when you're out at night in those temps cause it's all the time you got. 🌊🏄
I immediately felt rejuvenated and ready to return to motherhood. I just needed to breathe for a moment. I then found my gratitude, listened to my music and enjoyed whatever thoughts and feelings that came my way. Breathing and quiet time felt soooooo good. I will take better care of myself this week and take more pride in ALL that I do.🌷

You know the quote that says “this is the first day of the rest of your life” or something like that.... well I’m feeling that today. Like truly appreciating that I have a choice to create whatever I want in this life and it starts with TODAY.
I worked today. Not only at my “day job” but at a virtual career. This is what it means to have a side hustle! I’m determined to make this work for @ooladude and I! Our dream has always been to travel full-time... and we finally realized we’re out of excuses NOT to. So we are GOING to be digital nomads officially as of March 2019! We may travel indefinitely or we may come back to the states and find a home base after a while... it’s too soon to tell. We’re not locking ourselves down into any decision other than buying a one way ticket to Bali.
And that my friends is a beautiful and freeing choice.
I am so grateful to have my husband who supports and shares the same wandering spirit that I embody.
