On Saturday 18th August @wearetalisman launched a brand new dance inspired workout:
LES MILLS BARRE 💃
To make the day even more special we decided to hold a fundraiser in aid of the Daniela Ruggiero Scholarship Fund, one very special charity very close to the heart of mine and many others 💕.
The morning was a huge success filled with great fun, love, laughter, awesome workouts, yummy cakes, breath taking dancing from the wonderful @jasontheatresch girlies, @gracelilycleak @rhiannonfagg @aliciarudolph_ and culminated in a raffle as we all came together to support this amazing cause! 👯♂️
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that helped me promote, the fantastic team down at Talisman without whom this would not have been possible, @tjhlifestyle @greenjadelifestyle you guys are awesome, the wonderful mummy's, nanny's and members who made the day taste delightful (🍰) and donated to the raffle, and my girl @nicolawotton1 who has been my rock lately and it is an absolute pleasure to teach alongside her ❤️
Finally, thank you to each and every one of you that has donated, I wish nothing more than that Daniela could have been there with us, but everyone's kindness and generosity recently has been truly mind blowing and I'm sure we did her proud @daniela_fund 👼✨

Esta vez hablaremos del hambre que es esa necesidad fisiológica que tenemos para alimentarnos y que es totalmente diferente a tener una antojo, la diferencia entre los dos es que cuando tenemos hambre física el cuerpo espera cualquier tipo de alimento 🥝🍇🥑🍗🥚🥗🍒🌶 mientras que con el antojo la mente quiere algo especifico y no se sacia sino con este, 🍟🍡🍨🍦🍩🎂como una torta de chocolate por ejemplo. Por otro lado mantener nuestro cuerpo con los requerimientos nutricionales hace que nos sintamos saciados y con energía para realizar nuestras actividades diarias,. Cuando honramos nuestra hambre alimentamos el cuerpo en el momento que lo necesita y lo hacemos en completa calma y consciencia, si dejamos pasar el tiempo de comer y estamos ya "muertos" de hambre, probablemente tendremos el impulso de comer lo primero que se nos atraviese y en exceso. Nuestro cuerpo es maravilloso y muy noble es solo busca la manera de nutrirse, ya nosotros somos los encargados de escoger que queremos darle.

To clear the brain, to feel less overwhelmed with information overload and to be more present to those around you. I went on a little staycation with friends, did some reading and spent some time with my sweet little guy who started 1st grade today ❤️Just what the doctor ordered! How do you unplug? Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you say, but then at the ✨same time ✨everything you say is so important and matters so much. That’s the paradox. Well, one of the many paradox’s that we live inside of.
The part of me that is afraid to show all the parts of me, all of the prisms of dimension that reflect the deepest parts of my vastness of love- Yeah that part. I forgive her. I’m part of her and she is part of me, no shaming only love. I’m still learning- we all are.
There is an ebb and a flow of life, wavelengths of energy that travel round and round the circles| cycles of our lives that we learn how to dance| play with. The universe is a beautiful ball of energy, and she wants you to play with her.
As I open the windows of my soul, I have so many things to share while not forgetting to play. Balance. The Ying yang energy has been around me strongly for the past few months. As I open the doors of my soul, I move forward within the embodiment of Balance.
As a woman, I am more in my feminine energy- bringing a peace and calm of just ‘being’. I carry a go with the flow attitude, and at times can lag on the action of life. The masculine energy, that carries the ‘get her done’ kind of flow. This being an essential area for growth and self exploration.

Meal balance ☝️
Balancing out your meals with a source of carbohydrate, protein and vegetables is a really important tool for weight loss and maintenance.
1️⃣ Make sure at least half of your plate is vegetables or salad - the more variety the better. The different colours in different vegetables correspond to different vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
2️⃣ 1/4 of your plate should be a carbohydrate. Carbohydrates (potato, rice, pasta, bread etc) are important for energy. Wholegrain varieties are important for gut and bowel health.
3️⃣ The last quarter of your plate should be a source of protein. Protein is important for muscle repair and maintenance as well as for keeping your immune system strong. Try choose chicken, turkey and fish (especially oily fish like salmon or mackerel) more often than other meats such as beef, lamb and pork. Also try and include more plant sources of protein such as lentils, chickpeas and beans as these are high in fibre 👍

Most cities I find a little overwhelming and intense, Sydney being no exception. I prefer the slower more chilled out vibes of smaller towns where the sea and nature meet without obtrusive building being inbetween. Each time I visit Sydney though I find something new and unexpected and leave feeling more comfortable with the madness. •

“It’s funny, some girls enjoy make up, other girls don’t. Some enjoy glitz and glam, others girls like it casual. One extreme vs. another.
I’m trying to figure out what type of girl I am. I have a love/hate relationship with make up. I do enjoy dressing up yet, I also on the other end couldn’t be bothered. Sometimes I feel pretty, other times I feel gross. I’m just so confused on who I am and who I should be....”
I write this because that was my thoughts not that long ago. Constantly bombarded by societys idealistic viewpoints on how I should look, act, walk, talk and dress. I found myself living in comparison and constantly trying to fulfill someone else’s expectation of me. In retrospect, I felt like I was neglecting who I really was in order to become someone who I was made to believe would be accepted.
Accepted for what I wore.
Accepted for how I looked.
Accepted for what I did.
Accepted for how I talked.
My point is...
I needed to accept myself and myself only and stop being so concerned with what society deems acceptable. I needed to quit comparing myself to others and begin to embrace my inner beauty and style that best suited me.
It don’t matter if you’re a girl or guy, because this message speaks both. Throw your 🖕🏼to whatever doesn’t serve you or whatever pulls you away from your truest self and start doing you. Best gift you could give to yourself. 😉
I have a sort of love-hate relationship with social media. Whilst it’s a great creative outlet and has opened me up to so many opportunities and friendships, I do think it can be a dangerous place and really mess with our heads. It can make you second guess the decisions your making. I’m sure I’m not the only one who sometimes questions whether I’m making the right choices after scrolling on Instagram. Do remember that online lives are not the whole picture and that’s fine. As a general rule of thumb comparing yourself to anyone is going to make you go a bit mad. I consider myself quite a private person and I wouldn’t want to post everything online because you can’t get it back. Take control of the content you’re being influenced by. Follow the accounts that inspire you to be the happiest version of yourself. If you find yourself feeling a bit crap after scrolling, put the phone down, go for a walk, read a book, call someone. I think social media can make us feel like we’ve connected with people but real connections are face-face and I don’t think talking through a screen should replace that. Essentially I’m trying to have more confidence in my own actions and not doubt myself because I’ve read that Sheila over there is doing this that and the other. Everyone’s version of happiness and balance is going to look different and who am I or you to judge? Now I’m going to read a really 10/10 book before sleeping a lot. Night night. 💕
Can I have a moment for some #realtalk ? I will be 40 at the end of the year and while 40 is a big number for me, I am embracing it. Eating clean and taking care of myself, along with the help of some DNA, and ya girl is ready for it… Anyways, I am alive guys! I had a great time on vacation (It was hard to be gone for almost 2 weeks because then you really don't want to come back) but life has picked up right where it left off before vacation so getting the down time in was so necessary… Let me "check in" with you guys: .
- I am doing a new collagen supplement because the benefits of adding collagen, either in supp form or in collagen rich foods, to your diet is something that I have to pay attention to (post coming) and everyone should! .
- I have not worked out in 3 weeks but I am happy to report that I have not had any setbacks- Cheat meals on vaca didn't hurt me and I know it's because I generally eat clean. My stomach is flat and I have lean muscle but I have noticed a slight change in my shape. Having said that… . - I am going to do a new Beachbody workout/program, LIIFT4, and I plan to feature it in my upcoming workout videos.
- I have a couple of other surprises in store that I don't want to get into before they "come though" but I am so excited about these opportunities.
I've had to make a couple big decisions since I've taken an IG break and have had other things to work through but normal posting will resume! Lastly, I just want to say thank you to you all of you for just being a beautiful and supportive bunch! . .
