Everything here is pretty self-explanatory except the bottom two images. Pre-workout, to sustain your training and to kick-start your muscle recovery, you want protein, carbs, and fats. I like eating a bowl of oatmeal with protein powder and coconut oil. 40g protein. 30g carbs. 10g fat.

Before bed, carbs are your friend. They'll help you transform from an angry Wookie to a peaceful Ewok, allowing you to feel relaxed before bed, and load your muscles with glycogen for training the next day. You don't need to eat them right before bed, but 2-3 hours before you doze off is fine.

This Sisterhood Healing Circle is a two hour shared experience that provides a space for women to come together to share, reflect, and be. Altering our Expectations...
.

Expectations leave us with lingering consequences, often affecting our emotions. Disappointments based on our own expectations is not an easy task to keep in check. While we all expect (loosely used wordage) some form of want or need, there is a point at which our own expectations cause harm rather than good. Even in those times and events in which you have purest intentions, the result can end in situations feeling catastrophic. It is a hard truth to swallow. Expectations leads to sufferings.

How do we manage this self inflicted disorder? Do you just stop expecting?
.

No, we just need to alter those expectations. Try to understand the differences between want, need and expect. You should be realistic about what you expect from others and situations. What and where does your expectations stem from? The less we expect the happier we will be.

Be mindful of others. Do not expect what YOU want. In doing this, we release stresses. There is no force. There is no pressure. Only the current moment. Forcing others or yourself to conform to the ideas and wants based on how you think or feel a situation should be played out is only sabotaging your own happiness. Want something? Set a goal. A goal is defined as the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. You see, a goal is not an expectation, it is effort. You CAN expect to obtain your goals if you put forward the effort. Following still? Great! Now, accept the fact that sometimes obtaining a goal means lowering expectations, wants, desires and or feelings. 😒😬😳 .

The Four Nobel Truths and answer to the key of happiness lie within our own expectations and how we use them.

She absolutely loves working at Samsara Wellness Center and taking photographs at the studio. She spends most of her free time taking abstract photographs, hanging out with her pets, and practicing American Sign Language and yoga. Many of the ladies answered with sweets, fast food, and junk food. I get it, it’s effin hard to stay on track. I understand bc I’ve been there! Trust me those size 11 jeans I was wearing, I was ashamed of. More so bc I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror when I was at my “chubbiest”. .
.
So I’m going to give you guys some tips based off of what the ladies answered. .
.
⭕️ Tip #1: You can still eat out and lose weight butttt is it the best option? heck no! So my tip for you is make/choose healthier food options. Also, you can always modify whatever you order. I do it a lot of the time. Stop caring what the waiter thinks or anyone else around you! .
.
⭕️ Tip #2: If you are a sucker for sweets, find alternatives that are lower in processed sugars, trans fat and/or control your portions and balance out all other meals for the day. Don’t eat your emotions/stress. .
.
⭕️ Tip #3: one of the reasons why people binge and go crazy on junk food is because they try to be super strict on their diet and have little to no variety in their diet. Eating chicken and broccoli all day every day is not a balanced diet! People even develop food intolerances and end up with digestive issues from lack of variety in the diet. .
.
I hope this really helps and speaks to some of you. You are not alone. I’ve been there before. I used to think if I had a few pieces of junk food that my progress was ruined.
