It has always been a one-woman show in my kitchen, but I won't ever complain. Every order is a blessing, and though the holiday craze is exhausting, my heart is always full and grateful. ❤

So, lastly on my baking spree, I made a 6" chocolate fudge snowglobe cake. I came across a version of snowglobe cupcakes so I decided to try it out with a small cake to see how it would work. And this is how it came out. It's not perfect by any means, however... for my first time ever trying something out like this... I think it turned out great. And I know the cake is delicious.😃 I made the "globe" out of gelatin and I made the trees using cut down sugar cones used for ice cream. And now that I know what to do, I'd definitely try some other things. .

So, when I said I've been on a baking kick [Swipe Left], I have and it's been super fun. As I mentioned before, I follow some really cool IG'ers who do some incredible things. And when I find some of their baked creations... well, I've got to give it a try. .
Up first is a peach pie. The top crust was inspired by the uber creative talent of Lauren Ko of @lokokitchen. If you want to see pie art... check out her account. I've wanted to do this design for awhile and I made it happen and I feel really good about it.😊It was my first time at doing something like this and I think it came out pretty darn well. .
I also made a lemon meringue pie. I was really missing my mom and I pulled out her hand written recipe and I made this pie. Growing up, I remember how people would order this pie from her and how they would rave about how great it was. My mom was the best baker and cook, so with all of my baking lately, it just made me feel very connected to her. My babe said it tasted great... and that always makes me smile. .
And my last pie that I made yesterday was this brown sugar butternut pie. Another awesome IG'er @emcdowell shared this pie on her page and a great story to go with it. I was intrigued and I had a butternut squash on hand so I figured, why not.😃 She has the recipe in her e-book and I was excited to bake this one. I think it came out great. I added a couple more spices to it and OMG... it's so good. . .
All in all, I've had an awesome time baking and creating and I've learned a little more along the way. This is one of the reasons why I love Instagram... you really can find great people who help spark your need to create in whatever way that is for you. For me... it's baking and cooking and I love it!❤️.
I haven’t written about my homemade vanilla in a long time. The recipe calls for the vanilla to “cure” for one year and it’s been a year since we bottled it! .
Here are some photos of the journey. The collage picture is from the night the beans were scraped and put in bottles Dec 2017 and again in May of this year. .
The picture of just two bottles is tonight! I’m so excited to start using my homemade vanilla instead of store bought!
Two ingredients in each bottle: Vanilla beans and vodka. There’s no caramel or brown coloring added, water or any other chemicals.
The flask bottle contains Tahitian vanilla beans, which are supposed to be the best vanilla bean. The jar contains Madagascar Bourbon Island vanilla beans.
Made some adjustments to my already yummy caramel recipe and oh. my. goodness. Rich, creamy, full flavor caramel. Unlike any you’ve ever tried! My customers tell me it’s the very best they’ve ever had!

Saya pake susu cair putih .. si anak suka minum susu ultra sih ..
1500 ml Susu Ultramilk Putih
100 gr bubuk fibercreme @fibercreme
175 gr gula pasir (saya 150 gr)
1 bungkus nutrijell bening @15 gr
4 gr agar2 bening
1,5 sdm tepung maizena
50 gr white cooking chocolate, di serut halus
1 sachet kopi Cappuccino Torabika
100 gr DCC diserut halus
Pasta Coklat Toffieco
1. Siapkan cup / cetakan puding
2. Masukkan kdlm panci susu, gula, bubuk fibercreme, nutrijel, agar2 , jg tepung maizena , white cooking chocolate aduk rata, dan masak hingga mendidih, angkat.
3. Ambil 450gr bagian putih tuang ke cetakan, dinginkan
4. Ambil 450gr adonan cairan puding, masukkan kdlm panci yg lain, beri 1 sachet kopi mix, aduk rata, masak sbntr, angkat, dinginkan sebentar . Lalu tuang ke atas bagian putih tadi, dinginkan kembali.
5.Masukkan dcc ke dalam sisa adonan cairan puding masak kembali , hingga dcc larut, aduk rata, angkat, hilangkan uap panas.
6. Ambil kmbali 450 gr lalu tuangkan ke atas lapisan kopi, dinginkan
7. Tuangkan pasta coklat ke dlm sisa cairan puding, aduk rata, masak sbntr saja
8. Tuangkanke atas lapisan coklat, lalu dinginkan.
