One of my favorite “bodybuilding” accounts is @Smith.julian !! He was talking about how when he does these, he faces his elbows back for a better range of motion. I also got the grip idea from him- think of it like this... your hands are just holding the weight, but keep all the tension on your taps to actually hold the muscle.

Tip ⚠️: sit at different angles to target the traps just a little differently. Sit straight up, lean forward slightly and/or lean back slightly. Different angles will shock your muscles and help with growth 💪🏻 _

Finished off day 203 today of days in a row working out this year. Decided after doing back earlier hit legs for a double. Finished them off with 400m walking lunges with @pennyforyour_thoughts who counted the 500 lunges and stayed by my side the whole time for this crazy challenge. #backworkout  #back  #legday  #lunges  #400m  #400mlunges  #bestwifeever

It amazes me how many people treat machines as 'one size fits all' with little to no consideration of the muscle group they are actually trying to work. By simply turning around on the lat pull down machine, I'm able to achieve a greater stretch on the eccentric phase of the movement whilst feeling a deeper contraction on the concentric phase all the way to insertion. This quick 'hack' has enabled me to change the training angle and take my lat development to the next level whilst using the same weight. Always focus on trying to improve your mind to muscle connection and experiment with machines and free weights to find what works best for you. We are all different and there is no strict one size fits all. This @pullupmateofficial is a decent little bar to use as and when you’re away from anywhere you can train. It’s not very stable, but it is easy to put up and versatile too.
The instability actually increases the difficulty of the exercise I guess.
One of my current favourite sets is this climbing inspired pull-up set.

Had an awesome back and tris workout today. Today I started to change up the way that I’m approaching my workouts. Recently it’s started to feel like I’ve hit somewhat of a plateau, but over the past few days, I’ve started to realize how I can change up my workouts and start putting on some more muscle. Instead of focusing on workouts that consist of high reps at a controlled weight, I’m going to start incorporating some heavier sets into my compound lifts, while still doing a high reps focus on my workouts using machines. I’m really looking forward to seeing how changing things up like this will help me progress and move forward.

Definitely gets the heart rate up which is clearly seen by my very deep breaths (but like I’m totally in shape even though those barely 5 pulls had me kinda sorta gasping, like totally). An awesome superset with sled pushes.
