Wow, my cardio fitness is shocking right now. Which doesn't surprise me in the slightest since I haven't regularly exercised for a couple of months and essentially eaten loads of rubbish during that time.
This is my heart rate during my gym session last night. Max reaching 171bpm. I slowly eased myself in by walking on an incline on the treadmill, I then changed to walking flat at a faster pace building up to running. I ran for about 3 minutes then walked again and repeated that process for 20 minutes. Once I'd finished on the treadmill I used the weights machines - biceps, triceps, leg press and hip abductors. It was a short and pretty easy session compared to what I used to do but I didn't want to put myself off going back. I still found it worked my heart so that's the important thing.
It will be interesting to see how I improve over time! I'm not worried about my fitness because I know it's definitely been a lot worse in the past and gradually I improved it so I'll just do the same. In my own time, listening to my body and what I feel is right for me.
