It's been a hell of a long day and it's finally BEDTIME!!
Here's how my day went;
Fed and watered the kids and myself, made sure we were dressed, packaged half the weekend ebay sales, school run, nursery run, post office drop, Iceland shop for lunch items, back home to make my lunch, packed bag for work, got uniform on, parcel shop drop, went to work, worked an 11 hour shift on the ambulances, on breaks bid on auction items and responded to ebay stuff and called the boys to chat about their day at school, arrived home from work and did 3 hours freelance admin work, bedtime! 😯😯😯
And tomorrow looks to be pretty much the same! It's no wonder I'm shattered by the time I'm crawling in to bed!
The hectic life of a working Mum!
Something I have been embarrassed to talk about was my addiction to cigarettes. I have been smoking on and off since I was 19 (almost as long as I have been interested in fitness.. 6 years now!) Ive felt like a walking contradiction.. preaching health and exercise, yet smoking cigarettes even before and after the gym. Much like people crave sugar and junk foods, I crave smoking cigarettes (and had withdrawal symptoms). I can HAPPILY say that I haven’t smoked in probably close to a month. I don’t remember the exact day, but I do know this is my last box.
I am regretful that I hid this from anyone who follows me, because I like to try to be as transparent as possible.
If you’re struggling with something, feel free to reach out. I’m still fighting urges (as I assume I always will), but it is getting easier. Whatever you’re fighting will get easier as well. Just DON’T GIVE UP! Remember that each moment is another chance to stand up for your health & be proud of EVERY SINGLE TIME you succeed!
Selling my textbooks! The drug guide and NANDA book I got for free in a raffle during my first semester so it’s easy money! Trying to make those debt payments y’all! 💰📚 I also sent a bunch of textbooks into Barnes and noble for their buyback program so waiting to see with those! These were B&N rejects 😂
Welp..cast off!! Boot on for two more weeks and medicine on the heel.....🙁 poor baby, her summer in a cast & boot. NO walking on it for one more week-then slowly start walking on it next week, and then we celebrate and take this bad boy off August 8th! Gosh, it's been a little while since I've been able to post on here. Who else has had a crazy summer?? 🙋
I just wanted to provide a little update on our #debtfreejourney 🙃 I mentioned in a previous post that we were kind of in a budget "limbo." Our bills are fluctuating a little with phones being paid off, insurance going down, truck being refinanced, rent going up... And the list goes on! I had to dip into my emergency fund today. I'm bummed about it. It wasn't a true emergency. But it does mean some big news for us!
We're moving in December! We were able to secure a lease on a place that will save us about $250 per month. That should get our snowball rolling. I had to dip into our emergency fund to put down the deposit. We will have it replenished in no time. We will lose the deposit to the place we live now, but I suppose that's just stupid tax. We're going to really buckle down over the next six months until we move, then reevaluate the budget. Looking forward to greater things and making the best of what we have now. 🙌
Expect more silence from me in the coming weeks as I am going on a two week camping trip and will likely not be posting anything. But I did grab this book (pictured) from the library to read while I'm gone! Love to you #debtfreecommunity 💕 can't wait to see what you all do while I'm gone!

We *finally* cut the cable! ✂📺 Now before you ask what took so long, I called to cancel it during the promotion period, but internet alone was going to cost just as much as the internet and cable package I currently have 🙄 but now that the promotion period is over, my bill was going to increase by about $40! It's gonna be a no for me, dog.
The accounts representative couldn't believe me when I told her we were trying to lower our bills and we just don't watch enough TV to justify paying for it. But, what about the promotion? I don't want your promotion, lady! She got a little snippy by the end of the call because I wasn't accepting her offers. 🚫
In the past month, our car insurance, phone, and internet bills have all decreased. Woohoo! 🤑
Last week I started doing some adult colouring in. Fun! I immediately learned some serious lessons that I think would be applicable to all of our lives...

🖍You can choose whatever colour you like.
🖍It’s okay to colour out of the lines.
🖍Perseverance is key.
🖍It’s okay to use brown.
🖍It’s okay to make mistakes. Most of the time you can’t even see them after a while.
🖍You can be as detailed or as broad stroked as you like.
🖍It’s okay for things to remain unfinished if they don’t serve you.
🖍It’s not a race.
🖍Sometimes mistakes turn out to be beautiful.
Who knew there were such beautiful life lessons hidden there. Just thought it was worth pointing them out ❤️
because success doesn’t happen over night! I’m going on seven months of my weight journey and I feel like it’s only the beginning! I’m down 16 pounds and have learned sooo much about nutrition and how to properly fuel my body for the results that I want. When you find what motivates you to be the best version of yourself, you have to have it as a constant reminder. No matter what it is! I’ve never really thought about what motivates me to keep going besides wanting abs. As I look back and reflect over the last seven months of my journey, what’s motivated me the most is my photos I’ve taken. Looking at photos and realizing how I want my body to look vs how it was is what really keeps me going. It’s definitely been a challenge, I’ve cried (several times ask my husband ), wanted to quit, eaten whatever I wanted knowing I shouldn’t, but always moved on and started with a fresh day. Days are going to be hard, super challenging and you’ll definitely have people in your life that aren’t supportive or make fun or mock you. Don’t let other people negativity get to you, because at the end of the day... you’re working towards something you want! And most likely they are jealous of what you’re doing and wish they had the motivation you have!
Time for change. I feel like I should add again to the end of that statement. I sometimes feel change is failure whether it be a relationship, a job or a project. I have to remind myself that change is good for the heart and soul. I feel I have made some successful changes for my heart lately by reconnecting with my husband in positive ways and letting go of people that hurt my heart. But my soul is craving change. It is time to feel excitement and passion again and make a change! Now to just take those steps. #babysteps#changeisgood#changeishard#chchchchanges#turnandfacethestrange#vineshopsandlegos

Thanks you also at @greenruns Your post of your kid at heart dad really encouraged me and pushed me to dive into this. I want to be as active as he is at 73 and the way things were going, I was looking to need a bariatric bed and TID insulin ⚰
Just a friendly reminder that beauty comes in all different shapes, sizes, skin colors/tones/complexions, curves, etc. It comes from a deep spot inside that only YOU can find/decide on how/when/if to release it. If I've learned ANYHING on this fitness journey it's that there's so sooooo much more to us than what we post to social media. I'm sending all the positive vibes your way this Monday afternoon in hopes that you make the next step towards whatever goals you have going on in your life. Go smile at someone. Hold the door open even in that awkward "is it too long to wait stage?" Create and cultivate happy thoughts and laughter into everything you do.
