All the pictures you see on Instagram of Hallstatt do not do it justice. This little slice of heaven in Austria blew our expectations out of the water. So picturesque, great food, shops, and people. Little tip: most of this place is cash only and try the local beer. This is a drone shot but more to come. ✌🏻
Sin selfie-stick, nos cruzamos con un personaje! .
Sadly most of the traditional red phone boxes are no longer in use in the UK. But I love the interesting ideas people have thought of to reinvent them. From coffee kiosks to defribrillator points, and even local bookswaps like this one. I feel like this is definitely something my #travelbookclub members would enjoy. If you love travel and books, why not join our book club? We read a new travel book each month and discuss it on Twitter on the first Wednesday of the month at 9pm. This month were reading Travels with Rachel: In Search of South America by George Mahood and discussing it on October 3 at 9pm BST #grownupgapyear
Wow!
Someone is excited!! She just found out we are going away to Sherwood Centre Parcs tomorrow. She has been keep chatting about big slides, swimming, seeing her best friend, sleeping in the lodge in the forest, playing on the soft play area and so much more. What is best part for us? Well, probably I will see Ollie on few big slides (apparently he wants to build a den as well!), but I have SPA treatment booked on Sunday and I can't just wait! We are all excited as much as Lily is! Bring it on!
Crikey this packing thing isn’t going to be easy!! Really hoping we don’t need double the money we’ve saved but also not sure really how much it will all cost. I’ve made a spreadsheet and think I’ve covered all my bases, but it seems like in a world of oversharing, the finance side of travel is the one thing that people don’t really share 🤔🤷🏼♀️ How much for 7 months around the world?

⛩️ Praying for eternal health for my 2 boys 🙏
It's been a stressful, energy draining and sleep depriving week for our family as both P&Q fall sick at the same time. Princeton was down with high viral fever 🤒 while baby Quinceton was diagnosed with acute bronchitis 😷. Both of them were super cranky because of their illness. Hubby and I were ready to bite the bullet and grind through the tough period together.
We were relieved to see Princeton's fever subsided after 2 days of medication. However on the third day, he developed pain 😣 in bilateral calves to the extent that he couldn't even stand and walk. We brought him back to Mount Alvernia Hospital A&E🏥. Blood test done and his blood test results showed extremely high level of muscle enzyme, more than double of normal level. Doctor concluded that Princeton had Benign Acute Childhood Myositis (BACM), which is inflammation of muscle tissue due to viral infections. There's no treatment needed as the inflammation will heal on it's own. For days, Princeton was unable to walk.
It’s heart wrenching to see both of them suffer whereby there's nothing much my hubby and I can do to relief their pain. How we wish we are the one who's suffering 😭
As of today, we are super glad to see Princeton is able to stand and walk (even run)🏃on his own again. The inflammation has gone down after few days of rest. While Baby Quinceton is almost clear from bronchitis as per today doctor's review. We truly hope that they will continue to stay happy and healthy 💪
Lastly, we are looking forward to embark our journey back to Taiping this weekend, to attend my baby sister wedding. Holiday mood on soon! ✈️🛄
We learned a lot from our road trip to Miami Beach 😮We definitely need beach gear. Of course we are researching for just essentials, non-plastic, natural and ocean friendly things! Thus far the plan is to go to the beach on weekends with Papa 🌊🌴💙 #mindfulminnies#ecokids#earthlings#ecofriendly#beachlife
Not much beats being by the sea, and being by the sea with this boy is definitely my favourite.

Back home to York after some lovely family time in Mallorca. I won’t say it was very restful with a non-stop toddler and all of us bunking in the same room, but it was so nice to have some time together in the sun and to practice Mack’s swimming. We didn’t do a whole lot of touristing whilst there, but I will post a recap of our trip next week 😉
