This is absolutely true. If I started to learn one thing, than it is this: shutting out or fighting sadness, fear or any other emotion we label negative, will not bring happiness. It will only attract more of the same. ♥️🤘🙏🦋🌱
This month we're talking all things mind and today we want to share with you a very personal story of our friend and now a contributing author, Emilien.
In his blog post "My journey with Mental Health" he shares his experience with anxiety, insomnia and obsessive thinking. He also offers practical advice on what helped him to get to a place of recovery and brought a new perspective on health and self-care.
"I’ve decided to share my story in an attempt to help others who might be seeking some hope, inspiration and/or practical advice."
Read the story at soulspring.co/mymentalhealth (link in bio) and take care of your minds, today and always.
Okay, so hi 👋 as you have probably guessed, I’m Scarlett and I have mental health issues (oh god, this is sounding like an AA meeting) I’ve decided to set up this blog about mental health, how I cope with it and my journey. I’ve thought about doing this for so long but I’ve always worried about being judged or made fun of but I’m at this point where I’m out of energy to even care now!
For years I have battled with my mental health and for years I refused to acknowledge my issues, I would always find a way to blame it on something else or someone else. When I was diagnosed with OCD and Anxiety I didn’t really understand where to go from there. I felt completely alone still but just felt like I had an excuse for it now. I am someone who knows how people will feel and how the thought process works. I have educated myself on the subject of mental health since and continue to do so. I hope by opening this page it will allow other sufferers to know that they aren’t alone and that I to, still struggle daily.
In this blog you hear of my highs and my lows. I will share with you my experiences and my help. Get ready for the complete truth and my madness. Oh and just to add, this won’t be boring. Believe it or not, I’m actually quite funny! #MentalHealth#Awareness#Blogger#Help#Crazy#Support#SelfLove#Disorders#OCD#Depression#Anxiety#Illness#Follow
I've been making amulets for almost 5 years now, and my intention has always been not only to make beautiful jewellery but also to create a specific frequency for the wearer, with the use of Gemstones and spiritual symbols. I always blessed each design for the wearers highest good and direction of their goals or spiritual path - before I even learnt what Reiki was. When I went on my course my teacher said you are basically infusing them with Reiki already - but i'm attuned with the Reiki symbols also now so extra blessings! 😁 whilst I still love my beaded designs, they are rested at the moment whilst I follow this venture creating with precious metals and one of a kind crystal pieces. I am working towards releasing *collections* each month centered around themes of mythology, folklore, paganism, intentions and magic. Whilst my shop is empty at this time, feel free to add to the newsletter in my profile so you can be notified when all new creations are released. I just wanted to thank you all for being here on my journey also, i'm grateful every day for my wonderful customers and supporters in my jewellery artwork, along with social media giving me the platform to connect with you all personally. If you ever have any questions about Gems or spitituality, Chakras or ancient symbols - just message me to chat 👋 blessings xx Sarah xx
What kind of feelings in you right now? Please notice for your self: sad, empty, hurt, pain, dissapointed, wound, lost? Or are they itchy like feeling wanting to dance, wanting to jump or run? Obsessed to someone? Jealous? Angry? You name it. .
If we can understand what kind of feelings inside of us, congratulation. Be happy with those feelings. There is nothing wrong with that. Feeling is only temporary, not permanent. They are not belong to us. They are only energy, so don't let them become a thief into our self. .
Rumi said, those feelings are your guest. So, don't ignore or deny them. Welcome them all, stay with them, talk with them for a while. When everything is enough, the guest will saying good bye and we are ready to welcoming another guest. .
What happen if we reject the feelings? They will become like a ghost. Lingered and haunted us, like a beggar looking for food or coin. They are hungry, thirsty, need our attention. The worst, they can become invaders without our permission, without we know. .
Instead of playing victim, let's learning, knowing and understanding our self. Let's taking care our self with honesty. It is totally ok to be vulnerable. Fragile is a door to be broken. After broken we will rise again. We called it transformation. Just don't forget to notice our feelings and let them be our guest. .
According to a 2013 study on cannabis and Crohn’s, it was found that cannabis can produce clinical benefits like pain reduction, nausea relief, and reduction in overall unpleasant feelings. Overall, within the body, there are countless cannabinoids that interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors found within the intestines, colon, brain, and central nervous system. This then leads to the cannabinoid receptors’ ability to relieve nausea, pain, and ill feelings. :source infinitecbd.com #cbd#crohnsdisease#plantsoverpills#cannabinoid#treat#treatment#awareness

Change is inevitable and in reality, it represents progress and moving forward in a way that is effective. Our goal is to embrace change and realize that we play a huge role in making it happen. Yes, it can be uncomfortable and challenging, yet it can allow us to grow and explore new territories and spaces that may be quite foreign in the beginning but very rewarding in the end. When we can wake up everyday embracing and welcoming change, we actually open ourselves up to multiple opportunities and possibilities.
Change is a good thing. It is inevitable and necessary and more often than not leads to progress. "Get comfortable being uncomfortable".
i forgot to post my gratitude on fathers day, without going into a huge thing the most important thing i got and still get from my dad is music
i remember the day he gifted me these 10 albums, they were from when he was a teen in the mid to late 70s and early 80s
theyre all jackson browne albums that he managed to hold on to, who i believe is his favorite singer (but hes too cool to have favorites) and i keep them separate from my other albums, and thats because if for some reason i had to leave home in a hurry, for whatever reason, (aside from family and pets, obviously) id take these records and i keep them so i can do just that, they mean worlds to me
and although at the moment we hold very different opinions on the world there is one thing we have in common, led zeppelin sucks! singer songwriters for lyfeeeeeee!
and the 10 (9) albums are:
1. hold out
2. the pretender
3. for everyman
4. a bootleg of a concert
5. late for the sky
6. another bootleg of a few concerts
7. self titled / saturate before using
8. yet another bootleg (return of the common man)
9. running on empty
10. another running on empty (bc why not)
Start where you are ... Use what you have ... Do what you can ... Give thanks for everything ...💫

Comienza donde estás ... Usa lo que tienes ... Haz lo que puedas ... Da gracias por todo ...✨
I started a Ramadan Project in the beginning of this Ramadan 2018 with no expectations of how far the Project will come... I started with a vision to help raise money to help Palestinian Orphans in Palestine 🇵🇸 as I stand here, a London Born & Raised Palestinian Woman, I know the struggles of my people back home, and Alhamdullah I’ve had a more stable life in comparison to my Palestinian people back home. The aim of the project was to help Orphans in Palestine, those that have missing parental figures due to unforeseen circumstances, with a chance at having something special done for them!
I cannot express enough the love, support & gratitude I have for everyone that’s supported me, in this project. I’m one girl, and I’m overwhelmed by the support that people, friends, loved ones have shown me, and shown this project. So thank you all, your love & support has made the project stand where it is, today! & today we are on £530.00! .
Love you All, thanks for making it this far in the caption ❤️🇵🇸!!! Please stay tuned for more information on where the money will go & thank you to everyone that’s supported me & this project 💕
The Awareness Project is a Mental Health Initiative which focuses on Prevention and psychoeducation of mental health & mental disorder. Mental health is a highly tabooed and stigmatized subject in our country and this will only change when people are educated about what exactly happens in the clinical picture of mental health and disorder, what should be done if you or someone you know is showing some symptoms and what needs to be done and how.
Every day, each topic related to mental health and mental disorders will be put up. Signs and symptoms, cause and treatment will also be shared. Remember, there is no question of self-diagnosing here because the individual who can relate to the symptoms and feels he/ she is going through something will have to get it diagnosed and treated from a professional, either with the help of medication, psychotherapy or in some cases both.
If you or anyone around you is going through something and are not sure how and whom to ask for help can DM The Awareness Project's Instagram and Facebook page and we will definitely help them out.
