FUN FACT: I cannot keep any plant alive. I’ve even killed a cactus, succulents, and an aloe vera plant. But is that going to stop me from trying to grow an avocado tree? Heck no! 🥑 🥑 🥑 So the seed with the root is about 3 weeks old but we didn’t know we were supposed to peel the seed so have I doomed this plant before it’s even had a chance? The other I just peeled and if I’m lucky I’ll have my own source of 🥑 in a few years! 🙌 Does anyone have any advice on how to keep it alive once it sprouts? #avocado#avocados#avocadoseed#growingavocado#helpme#avocadolove#avocadolover#tryingsomethingnew#plantlife#growing#wishmeluck
""" I just eat a well-balanced diet and get everything I need from that""" But do you???? Do you really???? Come on, be honest. 🍏🍒🍆🥑🍇🥔
I have been in this game for over 11 years. I have trained THOUSANDS of people, and I am yet to see someone with a perfect diet. Yes we all talk about it, and we all strive for it, but the truth is that it just doesn't happen.
I thought I was eating well. I know what to eat when to eat it and how to eat it. But it is 2018 and produce is in high demand. The foods we eat are not all organically grown, we eat foods that are out of season, and they simply do not have the nutrients in them they used to. 🥑🍍🍊🍠🥒🍈
I am not saying you need to give up on healthy eating. The exact opposite actually. Be picky about your choice of foods. Eat organic, or buy from the local farmer's markets. Strive for the best diet and nutrition you possibly can.
And to make up the difference we have amazing whole food capsules that help bridge the gap between the nutrition we need, compared to the nutrition we get.
Yes, I would love to live in a world where everything I needed was only in the foods I ate. But the sad truth is in this consumer world that won't happen. So I will continue to take the next best thing to fruit and veggies. 🥔🥕🥥🍍🌽🍇🍓
If you tell me you are getting all your nutrition from your food, then please explain why you: Can't lose weight, are tired all the time, are not sleeping well, getting sick, don't have a spring in your step and are not feeling on top of the world. Because that is what proper nutrition does for you
It is time for you to live a happier and healthier life
It’s what’s for dinner at Tannys :-) I put 1/4 avo in the dressing and sliced the rest but you could add entire 1/2 to dressing :)
1/4 - 1/2 avocado
2-3 stalks celery
Cilantro to taste
I lime peeled
1/2 tsp kelp flakes
Water to thin
Black pepper on top
Sorry for not posting lately, we've taken a little time off to spend with the family.
It's been so hot lately, that heavy foods don't look so appealing anymore, so I made this avocado purée on bread with some red onions soaked in vinegar. Absolutely refreshing!
Craving this sandwich right now😋😩
Since I'm not at home here's a pic of how my sandwich from last week looked like on the inside 😂
Homemade hummus, spinach, avocado, cucumber, sun flower and flax seeds and pepper cress 🥑🥪
Hope you all had a great weekend, anyone going on vacation soon if so where? 😀
“This is part of the reason people in San Francisco can barely afford to live here.” 😂 Well @wheeltalkroad, looks like Nashville will have the same problem too. Worth it. 🍞🥑🥑🥑 #avocadotoast#avocadolove
Sweet Potato 🍠 Vs White Potato 🥔
Who is really healthier?
In a world of the superfoods and protein heavyweights, we take a quick look to see how these two vegetables go head to head 🥊
Straight of the bat we know sweet potatoes have been hailed a king of foods for a long time. Slightly lower in calories, nutrient dense and loaded with fibre, their sweet flavour has been a hit!
However the ole white potatoes have really gotten a negative rap but in fact these guys are still a great option. White potatoes are generally higher in potassium and folate and can contain approximately 3 grams of protein per serve!
So you say potato, I say pohtahto 😉🙌
Is Muesli Good or Bad for you when training?
Here is the secret, store bought muesli is often high in extra sugar or very calorie dense. If you can, opt for a fruit free option from the store.
Home-made is always your best option as it is cleaner, cheaper and your can add in more of the nutrient dense foods like nuts that you love! Check out our recipe ⬇️ Homemade Muesli - rolled oats - pepita seeds - sunflower seeds - almonds - walnuts- currents - cinnamon- honey 🍯🙌
