Not all pistons are created equal. Different alloys and designs make a big difference in strength and reliability. That’s why it’s important to make sure you do your homework, consult a knowledgeable engine builder, and not just go with the cheapest option!
We’ve speced and assembled thousands of engines for a wide variety of makes/models and applications....your regular old everyday car to track beasts. So if you need some guidance, that’s what we’re here for! #engineinternals#pistons#enginebuild#upgrade#backontheroad

What’s fueling our Friday morning? Knowing that the Advanced Automotive Technology Center groundbreaking ceremony is this Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 11:30 a.m. at #TriCWest ! The 13,300sq ft addition will feature lab space with 10 automobile lifts, offering more opportunity for hands-on-training, additional classrooms, a conference room and a student lounge. Tri-C @generalmotorsasep student Ryan will speak at the ceremony to kick off the project. We caught up with him and asked why he choose Tri-C and what this expansion means to automotive students:
“I chose the GM ASEP Program at Tri-C because they fought to have me. The people here really care about your education. Kitty McCarthy [Automotive Technology Program Manager] called me and talked to me about the program. I worked with her for six months. She walked me through every single step and a lot of my education is paid for. Now, I’ll graduate from this program with very little debt.”
“This expansion will bring in more tools, more lifts, more room and more mechanics. With better tools, the better technicians we will be which upgrades our experience, the program and Tri-C. Being able to learn with new tools and technology allows us to go into the workforce, into dealerships, and make car manufacturers more advanced.” #automotivetechnology#autotech#workforce#college#education#communitycollege
