. " THE GREEN EYE OF SAURON 👁 🌟🙌
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a panorama photographer I scarcely do vertical landscapes in portrait mode and I scarcely do vertical panoramas either, but sometimes it is definitely the best way to show the viewer the "whole show".
If you have never seen the northern lights with your own eyes and maybe have never experienced a so called "Corona" it is hard to understand what it really looks like.
A single frame is often best to "cut a long story short" and reduce the topic to the most prominent elements but sometimes you simply can´t tell the whole story.
The picture is vertically stitched of 4 singles in landscape mode (135° in vertical direction) , so this is what you really would have seen in that crazy night, if you had laid down in the snow and had looked up in the sky : There was a big "Corona" dancing some degrees to the south of the zenith and thus on the opposite direction the camera was aligned to (to the north). The corona was freakingly moving and the aurora which was spread all over the sky and literally glooming in more than "50 shades of green and purple", seemed to originate from one point in the center of the Corona, that constantly kept on bringing forth new rays of green and purple light.
I have been able to witness some wonderful aural displays in my live so far but I guess this was one of my TOP 2 nights in my personal „hall of fame“."
🌌 I knew right from the start I didn’t have the right equipment to capture the Northern Lights but I’m so glad I got to keep a little souvenir from this once-in-a-lifetime experience ! ‘Ça rend rien en photo mais c’était très beau à vivre’ comme dirait @nikoslyders ! #auroreboreale#aurora#iceland#nothernlights
Photos will never compare to what I witnessed tonight for the first time. It was beautiful and magical and inspiring. Note: photo edited slightly so we can see better. #nothernlights#auroreboreale#beautiful
Dreams do come true, sometimes... 🌌
It was unreal tonight.
A magic day from the morning til this unbelievable evening 🌌💜 Ce soir j'ai vu des aurores boréales !!
told ya I got few ideas of drawings.. here’s one of them. i got inspired by a really short scene in “Earth : One Amazing Day”. and I always loved drawing landscapes like this one but never thought about drawing one with an Aurora Borealis. .

#kungsleden#auroreboreale#bivouac#laponie#visitswedenfr#ig_sweden#sweden#northernlights#cerclepolaire#suède#trekking#sonyimages
This was my first night on the Lofoten islands. I knew the conditions were pretty good but I preferred keeping sceptical. And finally I decided to go with some of my new colivers and see at least the Milky Way. And finally they appeared! 😮 My first Northern lights ever, an extraordinary moment, a wonderful show given by Mother Earth, a very good start for my 30 days long stay here. 🙏Thanks to JC ( @explorer ) for capturing and editing that picture. ➕If you want to see more of my pics, see my Facebook page (link in bio)
I have been lucky for my first day in the lofoten to enjoy some night photography of those special light 💡 this has been done with my lumix gh4 and a 7.5mm lens f2. Some people set up the white balance really low to 3400Kelvin but I rather like it at 5600kelvin, it looks like more the way I enjoyed it. I did not edit that picture at all as i am on kind of holidays and Feel that i better rest than stay behind the screen. Anyway my dreams where do good after a complete day of surfing, hiking, shooting photos and videos with both the lumix and the drone mavic 2. The footage with the drone at Ryten is so nice. I will be happy to look at it during those winter days, waiting for the next trip up there.
