I have had the opportunity to work in our family business since I was very young and I started selling farm equipment at auction for a paycheck when I was 16. Of all the most important things I have learned working with Ag and Ag business, is that a nation which can produce its own food is a nation that is free! Food doesn’t come from the grocery store. This last spring, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Washington D.C. with my youngest daughter, Anna, and several of her classmates. The founding fathers understood one the greatest resources of this country was the ability for its citizens to grow what they needed to eat and use in order to function on a daily basis. This included everything from vegetables, fruit, annuals and perennials, permanent crops, meat to eat, plants to make clothes, and animals which were raised, fed and utilized throughout the colonies. Necessary items could be produced and were linked to the farm. Most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were farmers or owned ground that produced something from the soil. Even then, the founders of this country understood just how important it was, and always would be, to raise and grow its own food and materials. Our very survival, as well as our economy, both then and now depended on it. For example, these ties to agriculture are portrayed in the U.S. Capital Building where tributes to agriculture are included in the building design, and can even be found in the Rotunda!
Throughout the years, I have witnessed new farm equipment become old, and useable farm equipment become obsolete, due to changes in farm practices. I have then seen this same equipment, then repurposed and its value rise again. While our business has changed throughout the years, as all things tend to do, there is always someone wanting or needing to sell something in the Basin and we accommodate them. But the foundations of this country, and our area, always stay the same in Ag!! And we get to be a part of that rich tradition every day! #agriculture#ag =freedom #fooddoesntcomefromthestore#auctioneer#ChuckYarbroJr#agtradition#feedingamerica#payattentionfolks
Jan Bauch / Ležící akt / Olej na plátně / 1936 - Další z chef-d’oeuvrů naší právě probíhající výstavy OBNA ŽENA. Zastavte se, těšíme se. #obnazena
Inspirace ženskou krásou vnější i niterní, citlivostí i dynamikou, vždy popouštěla uzdu malířově fantazii.
