As a mom, one of my favorite things is making traditions with my little ones. One is quickly becoming seeing The Nutcracker ballet at the beginning of each Christmas season! This will be the second year we’ve seen our sweet friends dance in the local ballet and we’re so excited! During her rehearsal, this picture was captured of one of our friends as a Nutcracker angel. I saw it and just had to paint her! If I had more time this year, I’d love to do a whole Nutcracker inspired series if I had time!! What are some of your traditions?! 🎄 #thenutcracker
“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart” -William Wordsworth.
What does what you create say about you? Does it represent what your heart is passionate about? My heart breathes for family and children. We are all created with infinite worth and value that is not determined by what we do, what we may look like, or what others may think of us. Can you imagine what a beautiful world this would be if we saw that worth in everyone, including ourselves? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Loose narrative ending on an optimistic note. I think it’s important we take the time to understand ourselves and learn to be comfortable moving through both the “positive” and “negative” spectrum of emotions and experiences. This life is an adventure, truly.
3.5”x5”Graphite portrait I drew of one of my students. He draws portraits of his classmates and draws them with fully grown beards haha. He drew a portrait of me with a beard then I ended up drawing this portrait of him. As a teacher, this drawing has been the most tangible and inspiring contribution I’ve given to my students. Now all the 4th grades are drawing portraits of each other and today 7 students showed me portraits of classmates. For confidentiality reasons I am not legally allowed to post a reference photo of the student, but it does look identical to him ;) As of today, this drawing is now hanging in my classroom.
Sometimes I get really frustrated and feel like I have nothing to draw. My husband told me to stop looking at people and to find inspiration elsewhere. So I did! This lovely lady was inspired by my husband's new electric guitar. Do you see it?

Just finished tracking the last 2 songs for @mmiranda614’s new EP. Came out sounding great! Music produced by @anothermonster1! Soon I’ll send it off to him to finish the mix and then it’s back to me for the master. So keep an eye out for these to drop early next year! #Repost @anothermonster1 with @get_repost
