To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.#trump#hillaryclinton#fakenews#fitness#fitnessmotivation#republican#democrat#liberal#conservative#conservativememes#trumpmemes#anime#stopgrowing#meme#memes#memes#originals#allahuakbar#muslim#isis#islam#russia#soviet#hitler#feminism#gender#assumption#pedophile#filthyfrank#papafranku
White Privilege is not about the monetary wealth you have or have accrued. White Privilege in South African is deeply rooted in our historical unequal society and laws that governed Apartheid. White privilege is not something that white people necessarily do, create or enjoy on purpose. White privilege are benefits for whiteness that are seen as normal and standard in society.
Comment below on how you understand white privilege? --------
White privilege is not feeling like an outsider in an historically white area (in your majority black country)
White privilege is experience the assumption that I am in this boardroom cause I worked hard, not because of BEE
White privilege is having access to hair care products for my hair type in every dischem (not just a select few)
White privilege means I am deemed to be automatically competent #whitepriviledge#social justice #changetheworld#representation#diversity#inclusive#speech#freespeech#privilege#apartheid#assumption#rainbow
ASK QUESTIONS, DON’T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS - Agreement 3 (The Four Agreements)
We only hear what we want to hear and see what we want to see. We have the habit of dreaming with no basis in reality. We literally dream things up in our imagination when we don’t understand situations. These dreams are called ‘assumptions’. We have the tendency to make assumptions about everything what others are doing and thinking. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe that they are the truth. But when you think about it, we are afraid to ask questions to get clarification, so we make assumptions.
This is what tends to happen: We take it personally, then blame them, and then respond by sending emotional poison with our word.
The human brain is quite funny when you think of it. When someone says something, we make assumptions. But when someone doesn’t say anything, we make assumptions as well. We assume that everyone thinks the way we do, feel the way we feel, judge the way we judge, and abuse the way we abuse. All because we lack the courage to ask questions. We have agreed that asking questions isn’t safe.
