We humans have a lot to improve in terms of our relationship with nature 💦
From the excessive plastic consumption to the drop of tourist boats anchors in places like Maya Bay, coral reefs are being infected, damaged and killed from Thailand to Australia 🌏
I also have my own share of responsibility in this matter, but I think it's time to change our behavior, because in the middle of it the only thing that increases are the revenues,
on the other hand we lose everything... We lose the corals, we lose the fishes, we lose the beaches, we lose Nature! 🌴🌊
Portraits of Tattooed Chin Women, Myanmar 🇲🇲
It is said that the women of Chin tribes were well known for their beauty. During war times, young girls were tattooed to make them less appealing so that invaders would not kidnap them. Tattoo pattern also tells which area she is from as different Chin tribe has its own distinctive pattern. Today there is only a small number of tattooed women living in the village.
Because the tradition is not practiced and has been autlawed since 1960’s by Burmese authorities and the women with these tattoos are ageing, it is making them the last generation to bear their tribe’s facial tattoos.
Before my trip, I had internal fights with myself if I should see this tribe. I did not want them to feel uncomfortable with my visit and me taking pictures. A lot of research and reading was done.
Needless to say that during my visit I was very respectful and appreciative for them welcoming me.
Every of these woman I spoke to kept saying to me that they are not beautiful. Since they had these tattoos done, they were forced to believe that they are ugly. This simply broke my heart..
We travel because distance and difference are the secret tonic of creativity. When we get home, home is still the same. But something in our minds have changed and that changes everything. ✨ #JetSettingSheths

People watching is one of my favourite activities when I’m traveling. And I’m happy when I can capture these moments with my camera and go back to them after many years. What do you love to do when you’re traveling?
“STREETS OF KYOTO” .
One of few cities where i can see myself live in it. I’m a fan of just walking around. I think it is the best way to understand a city. Observing the people and how things work. Sometimes traveling is not about visiting the grandest destination. Wandering around a neighborhood, enjoying a cup of coffee or taking photos of things can be just as interesting. .
Man.. i love this city. Should stay a bit longer next time. .
