Ever have that one hobby that consumed you...taking pictures was that for me. Started by @cinstergram13 before the boys were born I quickly elevated to a pro body within a year. I think that's one of the things about me...when I'm in...I'm in! But as time passes and my shoulder bag got heavier and smartphones started taking better pics and upgrading bodies became a $3k+ cost this bad boy here got left home. By no means does a smartphone take a "better" pic but it's just so much more convenient in so many ways from no real post production to instant uploads to social media...etc. I will say that I always enjoyed my pics and have gotten compliments but again the work goes beyond the shoot...it's all about the shot..and pre and post production and of course everyone has got their own eye so everything is purely subjective but that what makes photography an art. There is no approach. You either imitate or you innovate.
Shout to all the guys who still shoot purely for the enjoyment of capturing how they see that split second in their own eyes.
Here’s one more process shot from the Sears fall campaign. To give the summer images the look of autumn, we worked with the agency to develop five different color grades, from which they selected one to apply throughout the series. Shout-out to creative director Scott Rench @yosoh and @havaschi for making us part of this project. -
