My drink is a bookmark of @koktailmeister After reading @theacademydrinks post yesterday, I thought I should give this one a try first. It’s basically a Last Word with a red wine float. And although it was good with that float, I still have problems with the Last Word. Must try the whisky riff next.

So, this is my second ‘float‘ entry for #thegreatreshake and I have bookmarked month ago when browsing through @barfaith ‘s account. The original recipe calls for Doctor Bird rum which I don’t have. But I understand that the rum had to be powerful enough to stand straight against the passionfruit syrup. 😁 So I started my first rum blending. It was more a trial than anything else, but it came out quite good in the final drink. 😊 I usually use the Myers Rum for my falernum but in this case it was the perfect support for the Appelton. 
TROPICAL TYPHOON 
1 oz Appelton Estate 8y @appletonestateja 
1 oz Myers Rum 
1 oz lemon juice 
1 oz homemade passionfruit syrup 
some dashes Peychaud bitters 
Shake first five ingredients with crushed ice and pour everything into a glass, float with bitters. Garnish with mint and lemon zest.

Hendrick’s Foamy Martini 🥒🌹🍸 50ml Hendrick’s Gin
10ml Noilly Prat Vermouth

Cucumber Foam
Muddle one cucumber and strain the juice
Soften 6 gelatin sheets in cold water.
Dissolve gelatin in cucumber juice over a low heat.
Combine juice mixture and 30ml Orange liquor in blender, run the mixture to foamy. Allow 4 minutes to set.
Carefully spoon the foam over cocktail

SAILOR’S SWIZZLE 
1.5 oz @mountgayrum Eclipse 
2/3 oz lbv ruby port
1/8 oz allspice dram (@thebittertruthcompany )
3/4 oz lime juice 
1/2 oz simple syrup 
Pour all ingredients into a chilled glass, add two-thirds fill with crushed ice. Swizzle with a swizzle stick or churn with a barspoon (I did) Add more crushed ice and swizzle some more. Serve with a straw. 
Garnish with lime zest.

@nickkorbee created this divine cocktail but to be sure of my ingredients, I reached out to whom else but @the_margarita_mum !Rhonda gave me the lowdown for mezcal. What a spirit!!! Such smokiness and so heavenly scented, it matched perfectly with the aged tequila and honey. The fresh lemon juice brings all the happiness together 💛
🐝Tequila Honey Bee🐝
60 ml @patron añejo tequila
mezcal rinse Vida mezcal
30 ml honey syrup 🍯I used honey with gold flakes because fancy as!
22 ml fresh lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters

Rinse a highball glass with the mezcal, coating the inside of the glass with a thin layer and dumping out whatever doesn’t stick.
Add the tequila, honey syrup and lemon juice to a shaker with ice, and shake until chilled.
Pour into the prepared glass, and add 2 dashes of the bitters. Garnish with a lemon peel 🐝💛🤗🍯😍♥️😇
